Nice list, Millwood. Growing up when I did, the Big Three opponents to face (not including ttun) are USC, Oklahoma, and Alabama. We'll get the chance to close to gap against USC this year (Los Angeles) and next year (Columbus), and against Alabama in '27 (Columbus) and '28 (Tuscaloosa).
We played it in the 60s elementary school gym class by having two teams on opposite sides of the gym and trying to nail members of the other team. We used all different sized balls. The bigger softer ones were kinda pointless but God help you if you got blasted in the face by one of the small, harder ones with the dimples it it. Those bastards hurt!We played smear the queer too but I remember it more like someone had a ball and everyone chased him, knocked him down, dog piled and whoever got the ball was the queer it repeated over and over.
This kid was never an Ohio State caliber kid IMO. I coach HS basketball we played them. He was not impressive at all. Was surprised that he even held an offer, let alone be committed at the time. I get wanting to keep kids home, but some of the In-state talent Diebs has gone after is very questionable.Believe it's been said that one has to get on the court to impress. And the decision is to sit on the pine at a great school, or play more minutes at a lesser school. It's a decision I never had to make ;(....academic rigor at Kent St poses less of a hurdle, and on court competition probably less as well. But is it better to be a big frog in a small pond, or a small frog in the big pond? I'll let you decide, grasshopper.....
This kid is going to be a consensus 5* and an absolute monster DT for us. Still has plenty more potential to squeeze out and intangibles off the charts. Yikes he's going to be a force.
Pretty interesting considering that she’s slightly above average looking. Certainly not someone I’d risk a marriage over.
I read an article about just that a few years ago.I know every program has their fair share of close calls and near misses, but fuck, don't think anyone beats OSU in that department.
I remember when I was in 5th or 6th grade, I read that OSU had finished #2 more than any program in history. That may have changed, seeing as that was 20+ years ago (that was depressing to write). Talk about bittersweet.
Still wouldn't trade OSUs resume for anyone else's, but you could write a book (and a LONG one at that) on all the coulda/woulda/shouldas. The margin between 2nd best program all time and by far the best, is just that razor thin.
Same, he's pulled some guys I didn't think OSU had a chance withDon't know what our chances are here, but never count MG out of any race for a DB he wants. I've been impressed with him as a recruiter so far.
Twitter article stated Brayton had officials set up with Oregon and Georgia. USC was not mentioned. Visits to Auburn, Ol Miss and Notre Dame would put them in play but looks like USC is out.According to Juck at BH, the Feisters are leaning towards Oregon and USC. Those 2 have made them both a massive priority, and it doesn't seem like JL thinks Brayton is a fit for the defense. Which means that Brydon is also looking at Oregon and USC
