Ohio State vs. #12 North Carolina (in Atlanta), Saturday Dec. 20, 3pm EST, CBS

So? They won the WVU, didn't they? And yeah the Pitt loss sucked, but please keep ignoring it took a miracle shot to win that for Pitt.

They are limited - this was always going to be a team with a ceiling. No one thought this was anything but a tournament team (maybe) this year and they had Sweet 16 delusions they are exactly that, delusional. In my IMO, as they've played some good teams and not so good teams, they look like a tournament team around the 9 or 10 seed range.

Who gives a fuck who they beat, just keep winning games and being in a position to actually win these game is absolutely a positive change for this program. Bitch about if you want (you will).

If they go .500 in the Big Ten they'll be in. Zero doubt in my mind.

And if they don't make it? Were "expectations met" by missing the tournament once again? At some point you have to start actually winning the games not just keeping them close

2027 FL DB Angelo Smith is a Buckeye!!!

That’s what I was thinking! Fans on twitter are losing their minds over it, but again, that is twitter. But a 3star with famous lineage from south Florida would be a big deal for Hartline at USF, not so much for OSU. Best of luck with his decision though
Exactly.

I'm sure the rabble rouser of r-tards will weigh in sooner or later on Twitter as well.

Brutal loss. Obviously can't have a turnover there with 18 seconds left needed to find a way to get it to your best foul shooter and knock them down. To get that 4 point play to take the lead then they get that lucky fall down basket just so brutal.
I thought you were a Kentucky fan....oh wait...

Not gonna stress over a 3 star safety.

They also lost to a already bad Pitt team who was shorthanded and needed a comeback and 2 OTs to beat a not good WVU team.

Seems like they play up but not up enough to win against better teams but can and will play down to bad-mediocre power conference type teams

Says you. I think the team that played against Illinois (top-10 team) and UNC (top 10 team) is in the top half of the Big Ten this year.

If you really believe they have zero hope for success, why do you bother to watch and comment? Do you like being miserable or something?

.500 in B1G play is a big uphill battle. They probably aren't beating any of the better teams and even the bottom of the conference is far from a sure win for this team.

This is the problem. We are becoming complacent with "at least they didn't lose badly" moral victories in games likes this. Speaks loudly to the completely stale state of the program
Bullshit. No one here is happy.

I do dislike that OSU settled for a 3 while down 1 with 4 seconds left and the ball in the frontcourt, with the double-bonus in effect. Launching a deep 3 without really trying to get anything inside helped Carolina.

Your best player inbounding the ball and they clearly had no real plan. What do you expect the outcome to be?
