It was also the 3rd year in a row that Ohio state and notre dame played. Ohio state won the first 2, then took control pretty early in the third.

Let’s do the same thing to Texas next year.

The revenue these TV markets provides to B1G is immense.. they actually should get a higher % of TV rev than they do

I wonder how that is going to go as the cable model keeps shrinking. It was huge when they joined, everyone with cable in those areas got BTN in a base package even if they didn’t watch games. Even direct tv has gone to streaming. The network is adapting well and is in most low level packages, but the benefit of the Rutgers and Maryland tv markets will only decline over the years.

A little speculation in here whether the minority owner will become the majority owner in 2028.

I will Dolan credit that the organization has been stable and competitive during his tenure, but maybe a new owner with more experience via other professional sports teams and deeper pockets can just get them over that hill. Who knows what happens with the labor agreement though.
