Game Thread Indiana at tOSU, Sat. Nov. 23, 12pm ET, FOX

a question for you x’s and o’s out there: the d was definitely on a different gear, but was part of the reason we were getting home that rourke was not stepping up in the pocket when he was getting pressure, like gabriel (for example)?

were other qb’s, like gabriel, for example able to step up and buy time because we had not been able to bring pressure up the middle until yesterday?

Yeah from what I remember Gabriel had a clean pocket and could usually step up if anyone pressures from the edge. Recently they've been much more willing to twist DL and have been a lot better at executing blitzes up the middle.

It might not be execution as much as the the LBs and DL working together to confuse OL instead of the DL being static bull rushes and the back 7 working around what they were doing.

2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Tennessee at Penn State

Same kind of stadiums
Both in the mountains
Fans are delusional and think their program is an elite blue blood.

Colors are different
UT fans celebrate their hillbilly culture. PSU fans somehow think they are east coast elites.
Penn State fans will look the other way on child rape. UT fans likely would as well but we don’t know for sure.

No idea how the game would go but I wouldn’t want to be within 100 miles of that tailgate scene without a gun and a recent tetanus shot.

Flyin in for The Ga❌e…recommendations?

On a side note, can y’all help me out. I haven’t been back to Ohio since 1996. Me and my two boys are flying in next Thursday for The Game.

Going to dinner at Capitol Grill in UA then i want to go down on High Street. Any recommendations as far as bars? High Street or Short North? Wanna hit a few different ones.
what else to do on Friday day?

1) Bring warm clothes for the game, the high is currently forecasted to be 27°.

2.a) The Ohio State men's basketball team plays Pitt Friday, November 29, 2024 @2:30 PM in the Schottenstein Center. Tickets are available.

2.b) Does your boys like hockey? Friday, November 29, 2024 @ 3 PM the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Calgary Flames in Nationwide Arena (which is in downtown Columbus). I am sure you can find some tickets on the online ticket sites.

3.a) Bar suggestions would depend on the age of your boys. If they are relatively young like in the picture (or at least under 21) there is a decent Buffalo Wild Wings on the corner of Lane & High that would be more "family friendly" than an adult bar. In addition, BW3 has lots of TVs and is currently running some good (reasonably priced) menu specials. Back when I was in school it was the location of a campus bar called The Thirsty Eye. I think the only campas bar still under the same name and at the same location when I was a student (late 60s/early 70s) is the Varsity Club on Lane avenue.

3.b) There is more of an adult bar/restaurant in Dublin OH called Urban Meyer's Pint House you could check out. You probably have heard of him. It's the bar that he got into "hot water" for visiting after a Jaguar game when he was their coach, see video:
