This is another fun video. This guy pretty much flys down the ski hill on a Flysurfer Peak 5 6-meter kite. FWIW: This is my primary kite model. I have it in a 2.5, 4 and 8 meter for different wind conditions for when I want to fly with a bar but I have a couple of small / medium Peter Lynn kites that are 4-line handles for stunting.

I was recently in Bonaire SCUBA diving and we watched some kiteboarders, including one guy who was getting serious air and doing skateboard like tricks involving taking off the board, flipping it around and putting it back on while he was in the air, between dives one day. It's something I would have loved to try twenty years ago, but now I suspect I'd end up looking like Charlie Brown if I tried it.

Butler names former Bulldogs player Ronald Nored as new coach​

Butler has hired former Bulldogs player Ronald Nored to succeed Thad Matta as head coach, the school announced Wednesday.

Nored is a 2012 graduate of Butler, who played under then head coach Brad Stevens, helping the Bulldogs to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA national championship game in 2010 and 2011.

"The term 'dream job' doesn't do justice to how I feel about the opportunity to lead the Butler program," Nored said in a statement. "Butler is an incredibly special place. As a player, I poured blood, sweat and tears into this program. No one appreciates both the responsibility and the potential that comes with this position more than me."

Nored has worked his way through the assistant coaching ranks with stints in college basketball, the G League and NBA, most recently serving on the staff of the Atlanta Hawks over the past three years. Prior to that, he spent time as an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets and Boston Celtics.

"Ron is a relentless worker with an elite basketball IQ and a proven track record of developing talent at the highest level of basketball. He is the ultimate competitor, and he will cultivate that same quality within his team and staff," athletic director Grant Leiendecker said in a statement. "While he understands the soul of this university, we didn't hire him for his history here -- we hired him for his vision of what we can become and how we will get there. HS season starts tomorrow - son is considered a tweener and SHOULD get some varsity time, but starting on JV. The coaching staff has done a great job of telling each boy what they expect from each of them, very clear with where they see them, and expected progress, ect. He can play any position, not a strong pitcher, but can do it if needed. He'll start at 2nd and be the backup catcher, but also get some reps in the OF from what he was told. Excited to see how this year goes. He was 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI's in the scrimmage last week, also threw out a runner trying to steal 3rd, so pretty solid day

After coaching in the NFL for the last 15 years, Smith views the chance to coach in college as an exciting new challenge and an opportunity for him to grow as a coach.

“That’s really the thing you pride yourself on. We're always talking to players about growing, having that growth mindset, getting out of your comfort zone, and for me, it was a good challenge with where I'm at in my career,” Smith said.

The expectations for Smith will be just as high as they were for Patricia and Kelly. As Ohio State’s offense looks to bounce back from a rough end to the 2025 season, in which the Buckeyes scored just 24 combined points in losses to Indiana and Miami, Smith is being brought in for the job of building Ohio State’s offense back to a national championship level. But he’s excited about Julian Sayin, Jeremiah Smith and the rest of the talent he’s inheriting and embracing the championship expectations in Columbus.

“You don't go to Ohio State if you don't welcome those expectations, and it's the same thing in the NFL,” Smith said. “The expectation is to win every Sunday, and you love that challenge as a competitor, and it's kind of what gets you going as a coach.”

Entering his senior season with 16 starts under his belt, Montgomery is dedicating his full self to a better season at offensive guard and a better close to the campaign for the whole of Ohio State’s offensive line after a brutal close to the 2025 season from the unit.

“We want to be the Joe Moore Award winners,” Montgomery said. “I think that's the top of the line for us. There's no excuse not to be. That's our standard, and that's where we want to be.”
