2027 TX DB John Meredith (Texas Verbal)

I just named John Meredith III as the No. 1 prospect in Texas. Buckeyes are really in this, but I personally get the feel after talking with him that Texas A&M and Texas are also well-positioned.

Texas and Texas A&M getting new DCs could be a factor.

He will be a high-profile NIL play.

2028 TX WR Damarion Mays (Verbal Offer)

Meant to post this earlier in the week.

This is one to keep a close eye on in the Lone Star State. Ohio State is the only school that lit up his face in the video interview. Patterns his game after Jeremiah Smith. Is an ELITE, likely 5-star talent.

X ... Twitter

Fun fact. When I was a wild and crazy guy in my early 20's I bought a set of Encyclopedias from an ambition young lady at the mall on the condition that she'd spend the night with me. She did.

You always struck me as the type of guy who has had to pay for it.

If you could change the outcome of one Ohio State football game, which would you choose?

Great question. I'd have a tough time choosing amongst these:
1995 cheaters
1996 cheaters
2021 cheaters
2022 cheaters
2023 cheaters
2024 cheaters (but this may be the first on the list to get cut)

Others I would consider:
1998 Sparty
2005 Penn State (the Rail)
2016 Clemson
2020 Bama
2022 Georgia
2025 Miami
I stand by my initial response, but I want to add a few that you nerds reminded me of.

2006-07 Florida. You seem to have that higher on your list than I do, but I agree it belongs on the list.

2005 Penn State. This is the reason that the stupid White Out exists. This right here. I mean, they didn't invent it. But all of the college football world thinks they did. Without this game, no one cares what color their fans dress in. Of course, it makes their whining against the cheaters not as funny, because no one cares if they win or lose that game. And then we also wouldn't laugh at them for thinking they could have beaten Texas that year.

2008 Penn State. Maybe doesn't really need to have much consideration. I'm just annoyed, still. Punt on fourth and one and we win that game. Instead, Tressel has Pryor do a QB sneak, he fumbles, Penn State gets a short field to score a go-ahead touchdown.

2019 Clemson. How did I forget this? Eff Clemson. But we still would have lost to LSU, I think.

Is it only football? What about losing to Wichita State? Boof to that game, whatever year it was. Or to Florida in 2007. It was before my time, but also to Cincinnati in 61 and 62.

And how about the Browns effing it up against John Elway? Eff that nerd. Maybe the Browns wouldn't have left if they had a Super Bowl win in the 80s. He deserves to have embarrassing photos leaked of him and a sybian machine.

And eff Kevin Durant and the way he sabotaged 2016 just to go to Golden State in 2017. I hope he gets caught with an applesauce enema.

And 1995 Braves and 1997 Marlins. They can drink poop water the rest of their lives. Cubs in whatever year that was, too. Same with 2007 Red Sox. How about all of all the teams go eff some cinder blocks...

2026 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, Arrogant Twatwaffles, Emasculated Cucks, Feckless Marmots, Dirty Cheaters "Mid"chigan

Fucking cheating fucks.
Burn it to the ground!!
There's a time for talk and a time for action.
They don't make any good movies about the time for talk.
They make a lot of good movies about action.
Like... remember the parts in Predator when all the action happened? That was cool.
What was my point? Oh yeah - action movies are better than talky movies.
Also, remember in The Waterboy when the cheaters tried to play their towel boy at wide receiver? That was awesome.

Associate HC/DL Coach Larry Johnson Sr. (National Champion)

We need and should be able to get a Laurinaitis level DL coach. Doesn't have to be an alum (I don't know who that would even be), but a baller and then just call it what it is in recruiting. Johnson's gonna be another year or two, you're going to work with both of them until he's done, and then it will be seamless. If we own it, we're not susceptible to counter-recruiting on the level that we seem to be now.
I went to a sangoma and he revealed the future to me in a vision. It was the year 2075 and I was in Ohio Stadium. It was a big weekend. Keith Richards and his new band had headlined a concert the night before and filled every seat. And that day, in a nationally broadcast season-opening game, #1 Ohio State was officially announcing that Larry Johnson would be retiring at the end of the year.

WR Mylan Graham (National Champion, transfer to Notre Dame)

I teach at a large university.
Many high volume courses the freshman year are available online. As classes become more advanced, there are fewer online options. It would be possible to do all or nearly all online for the first two years if you were taking basic classes in a non-STEM major.
I've heard from a number of interviews that athletes at bigger school are different and can take online classes at any time. Greg Oden is an interview I remember who said he couldn't go to class because he was too much of a distraction. I remember Justin Fields saying something similar when he got to OSU. Sorry, but its a liability to have a high profile athlete in your classroom, I have friends who coach in HS and they say it's hard enough if they have a star athlete because everyone wants to socialize, take selfies with them, etc. To think players are actually attending classes in person in this day and age is just crazy. Heck, many in corporate America work hybrid or completely remote. A kid taking classes online isn't revolutionary.

NCAA - slowly ruining football (rules changes - merged)

Wrong thread.
Belongs in the cheaters page.
scUM folk made lots of threats to sue the NCAA regarding their cheating cases, but I don’t recall that they ever actually did file anything. So with no lawsuit for scUM to lose this type of enforcement action really doesn’t apply to the cheaters.

[ In November, 2023 scUM sued the B1G conference and commissioner in Michigan state court regarding the 3 game cheating suspension the conference gave Hairball. scUM quickly caved and dismissed the case.]

Academic smack in this day and age is lamer than it used to be and it was lame as fuck back then.

They are professional athletes. I don't give a flying fuck if they go to school, don’t go to school, what kind of car they drive, how they spend their money or anything else they do as long as they stay out of jail.

I see them perform 3 hours a week 14 or so times a year. Thats it.

Play well. That’s all I ask.

Weird. I applied to, and got into Fisher 2016 to get my MBA. There was not a single class you could take online for that degree. Now, maybe undergrad is different or post- Covid it has changed but if I could have done that with my work and family responsibilities I'd be an OSU grad right now instead of Ohio Dominican. Maybe that should actually be clarified, as many have said, before mouth breathers comment? But I forget it's the social media age and it's first come first serve with regard to truth. Fucks sake

Where's a cloud when I need something to yell at?!?
From what I gather covid changed a lot at least for athletes. They seem to take way more online classes and depending on how those online classes are policed add in NIL I wouldn't be surprised if people are paid to take classes for someone. Much like tutors paid or not would do homework/papers work for kids back in the day
