2027 IN WR Monshun Sales (Verbal Offer)

Is the above what Thump means about 'bagmen'? Kid's got talent, no doubt, and seems to playing his cards pretty close to the vest. And would expect that the hometown folks are putting the squeeze on him to stay home. Lastly, knowing the NFL will smell out talent anywhere, he could do worse. Winning a Nati with JMU level talent (no offense intended), might indicate that there's some great coaching going on at Indy. Anyway, my hopes aren't high on him joining the Buckeye ranks, but here's hoping. He would help replace the two 5*s that left after their freshman years. Go Bucks!
You need to put a major caveat with the "JMU level talent". The average age of the team being 23 was HUGE! They started only about 3 Sophomores but started 8 RS or true seniors. Mendoza was a RS junior. That age made a big difference.
As far as Sales, hes a top talent, hes going to command top dollar wherever he goes. I think there is a lure to stay home and it'd be interesting to see if he meshes with Cig's coaching style. Because hes going to command 7 figures and expect to play almost immediately and Cig doesnt strike me as a coach that will promise a kid anything.

We Don't Deserve Dogs

they don’t live very long. But we have to take comfort that they had a wonderful life.
So... not to equate dogs to goldfish, but for her birthday a few years ago my daughter got a goldfish. She's about as responsible as a turd on the floor, so that's about as much as we'd let her do. But it lived a couple of years and died. She didn't do much to take care of it. But when it died she was a little sad. Then we reminded her that it was sold as a feeder fish - she gave it a way better life than the next guy was going to give it.

Anyway, back to dogs. Mine is 5 years old. Best dog ever (everyone says that, though.) Gonna be rough at the end, I'm sure.

2026-27 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Remember when Larry Bird was commenting on the Celtics championship match-up with the Lakers. He said that the series wouldn't hinge on his match-up with Magic, but the 4th and 5th players on each teams matching up. Point being is that believe tOSU will match up pretty well one thru three, but maybe the fourth and fifth players might not carry their weight. Don't know, hard to tell. Hopefully they rise to the occasion, and the basketball team shows out this year.
The bench killed us last year. If we dint find depth this year it'll be the same result.

2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

THE BEST IN THE B1G. Ohio State was well-represented in Phil Steele’s preseason All-American teams, with preseason National Offensive Player of the Year Jeremiah Smith, Julian Sayin, Austin Siereveld, Luke Montgomery, Earl Little Jr. and Dalton Riggs all earning recognition.

Phil Steele Preseason All-Big Ten
First Team Second Team Third Team Fourth Team
RB Bo Jackson QB Julian Sayin C Carson Hinzman K Connor Hawkins
WR Jeremiah Smith OG Luke Montgomery OT Phillip Daniels
OT Austin Siereveld DT John Walker DE Qua Russaw
S Earl Little Jr. LB Payton Pierce DE Kenyatta Jackson Jr.
LS Dalton Riggs CB Devin Sanchez LB Christian Alliegro
Ohio State placing four offensive linemen across the first three teams — Siereveld, Montgomery, Carson Hinzman and Phillip Daniels — stands out as a major indicator of what could be a dominant unit up front. If that group comes to fruition in 2026, the Buckeyes will be a problem for everyone.

Just sayin':
1. should be interesting to see what the new OC can do with these guys.
2. I would have thought Hinzman would be higher than 3rd team.
3. Wonder if Tegra Tshabola would have made at least 3rd team OG had he stayed
4. Conner Hawkins has to be an upgrade on Special Teams. Dalton Riggs must be the "real deal" too.
Should be the best OL we've had in quite some time, or close to it. I think just about any OL would get dunked on by Indiana and Miami's defensive fronts in the form they were at come playoff time. They'll be better for it.
