I think Santa Clara is going to have to at least get to the WCC final to really be in serious final consideration for a spot.

It's going to be really annoying if the MWC somehow ends up getting 3 teams. San Diego State belongs nowhere near the dance unless they can win the MWC tourney.

I know it's popular to crap on Miami Ohio for playing absolutely nobody. But I'd MUCH rather see them get a crack than some completely mediocre power conference teams like Auburn, Va Tech and Cal.

I'm not familiar with the process, but seems very convoluted....so wrestlestat comes out with the pre-seeds, and then coaches can challenge these? Why go through that whole process....just let the coaches rank, send it in, spit it out. Just feels like an odd process. I'd think OSU would challenge on Cannon and it'd bump him up a bit.

Jurors deadlock, judge declares mistrial in Miami football murder case​

A judge declared a mistrial Monday in the murder trial of former Miami Hurricanes player Rashaun Jones, accused of the shooting of teammate Bryan Pata in 2006.

About an hour after the six jurors began their second day of deliberations, Florida 11th Circuit Judge Cristina Miranda came into the courtroom to address the attorneys, reading a statement from the jurors: "At this point we are deadlocked with no one willing to move." Miranda instructed them to keep trying, but after about another hour, they again said they could not render a verdict.

Would be nice to get a top 8 seed an avoid Wednesday

Mapping out the optimal realistic scenario for OSU to finish the regular season ...

1) OSU wins their last two (favored in both)
2) UCLA splits their last two (Huskers FTW!)
3) Iowa loses at least one of two (underdogs in both)

In this scenario, OSU would manage to be the #7 seed in the Big Ten tournament. Head-to-head the tiebreaker would give OSU a seeding advantage over UCLA. It would be a significant advantage to be the #7 and play the #2 (Sparty/Huskers) instead of having to face UM. Right now OSU would be the #9 seed due to losing the tiebreaker with Iowa, you don't want to be below #8 because that means playing on Wednesday. #7 and #8 don't play their first games until Thursday. As if we needed more reasons for OSU to take PSU seriously as a must-win type of game ...

Undefeated regular season i'd be shocked if they get left out.

Lose to Ohio or Toledo to end the regular season and then lose in the MAC tournament and they probably will get left out.

If they lose to Ohio or Toledo though before the MAC tourney, then it gets important that they win the MAC tourney.

Pearl and Auburn can get fucked though, they are a wildly mediocre team who's basically living off of "but but we have the #1 schedule!!!" losses still have to matter at some point and currently Auburn is 15-14 losing 7 of 8 games (should be 8 losses in a row too they got insanely lucky to beat Kentucky) and currently 11TH PLACE in their conference. So you they have no real complaint about getting "left out"
