'27 OH PG Joshua Tyson (Verbal Offer)

Ohio has always had good basketball players, getting them to stay in-state has been a problem. Now, it appears that Diebs is getting that to happen. Love it, and hope we see more of it. My fervent wish is that tOSU basketball (men and women) would get the populace to react like Buckeye football, and look at the home fires first, before making a recruiting decision.

2026 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, Arrogant Twatwaffles, Emasculated Cucks, Feckless Marmots, Dirty Cheaters "Mid"chigan

So, here's where I'm at:

Can we blame the NCAA for their ludicrous punishment? Why in the history of punishing teams, did they not give a fuck about "punishing the current players" concerning Michigan? They didn't give a fuck before and they certainly didn't give a fuck after.
That's the real crime.

Thee Ohio State University News

They've come and gone, and our fundraising never slows down. You can go all the way back to our first multi-year campaign in the mid 80s that had a goal of 250M and raised 450M--a record at the time for a public university.

Dude did a huge job on the recent campaign, but the next guy will do just fine.

Deciding When to Retire

Pulled the trigger. Done. 8/7 is my last day.
Congrats. I have 9-14 more years, I think.
But I'm leaning towards just not showing up ever again. My company cell phone sitting on my desk, next to the key to the front door. Never hear from me again. I figure that's how they treat the employees - no notice. Why should I treat them any differently?

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

Every league in sports has contracts.

If they’re getting paid this should be like the NFL etc. College football is lawless right now with this stuff.
The other leagues aren't tied to colleges/schools/academics. You can't tell someone where he can or can't go to college. As long as there is a real or imaginary tie between the school and the sports teams, you cannot force someone to go to one college or another. You need to let them transfer.

What part of no CBA in place right now confuses you so badly?

You cannot restrict pay/movement of people no matter their profession if they haven’t had a say in it.
I assume CBA is a collective bargaining agreement. I'm not smart enough to know what that has to do with restricting things.
But that's fine.
I still think that if someone wants to restrict which team a player is on, we'd have to make a true minor league system. Take the teams away from the schools. But of course, I'm sure none of us wants that.

This is common sense. To me you are anti common sense.

Every league in sports has contracts. In what world should players be free agents more or less every year.

I’m not understanding how you could be on the opposite side of this.

Like every business in America that hasn't collectively bargained with it's employees and contractors.

The companies that do NIL deals can have contracts all the live long day. All it takes to get out of a contract is someone willing to pay to do so. You can't press gang them into staying.

I can't imagine in in pro sports leagues, no because they have legal entities that employ players and therefore can have employment contracts with the players or their union.

Trying to "prevent" movement is the exact thinking I was pointing out.

It's not legal unless it’s agreed to by both parties. Things that aren't exactly legal probably shouldn't be the thing you are trying to accomplish.

TN RB David Gabriel Georges (Tennessee Verbal)

Would it be considered negative recruiting if tOSU had DGG sit down and watch the recent UT v tOSU playoff game? Maybe show clips of tOSU DL pounding the snot out of their QB? Plus holding UT's RB to under 80 yards? Guess that would depend on which side of the field one sits on.....
I negative recruit every few weeks if so
