2028 OH WR Lorenzo McMullen Jr. (Verbal Offer)

I took it that @calibuck was asking if I could name a current star player, and personally I wouldn't consider Sorsby a star. And the Kelce brothers weren't seen as stars when they played at UC btw.

Just sayin': The last 3 years the Juggalos went, 3-9, 5-7, and 7-6; I don't think they currently have any "star players"......

5* RB is pretty much worthless in terms of the team winning if the talent around him isn't good enough across the board to compete with the true higher end teams in the country.

I keep saying it but Bijan Robinson at Texas is the best example for this

He had very good Sophomore and Junior seasons.........Texas went a combined 13-12 in those seasons.
Agreed. I wish we got Bijan, because he's fun to root for in the NFL. But that and a quarter will get me a bouncie ball at the pizza joint.

Bryce "L" Underwood (QB ttun, for now)

Well, ESPN could give a callback to the guy who wouldn't report to work, unless he got Herbie's spot (he believed he was better), so got canned for abandoning his job. Went on to become AD of Nebraska, but lost track of him from then on. Hey, Hollywood resurrects old movie titles, maybe ESPN could go back in time as well?
On March 13, 2024, Texas A&M University announced that Trev Alberts had been hired as its new athletic director, replacing Ross Bjork, who took the same position at Ohio State.

Just sayin':

Surely you can name....

1) the Kelce brothers (i.e. Travis and Jason) they both sure have been in the news lately. Travis just married what's her name and Jason retired and became an ESPN talking head for their NFL games.
and
2) their star QB last season (i.e. Brendan Sorsby) who make the news for all the wrong reasons.

I can even name a 4th, Greg Cook who was the Juggalo's QB back in the 60s. He played college football for the University of Cincinnati and was selected 5th overall in the 1969 NFL/AFL draft. Once considered a rising star for the Cincinnati Bengals, he had his pro career prematurely ended by recurring shoulder troubles.
The NFL Network NFL Top Ten series named Cook the #1 One Shot Wonder in NFL history.

Hopefully all the hand-wringing is all over and done, so tOSU juggernaut can continue on, focusing on the next best thing. Good luck to DGG, and sincerely hopes UT makes the playoffs, and comes up against the Buckeyes. Believe he made the best choice for him, although a bit misguided by our standards. Each choice has consequences. And the Buckeye RB room will thrive. Go Bucks, every day and always.

Just sayin': In addition to scUM, Ped State, and Notre Dame. I sincerely hope that they too go 0-12 every season until the end of time.......

Thacker and Hogue (he of the coke-bottle glasses) beat tOSU, after the Buckeyes beat Cal for the basketball Nati. Our guys were sophomores, and ended up in the final four the next two years, losing to the Bearcats both years. Damon Flint was a Buckeye verbal, until 'someone' reported a illegal gift of a gym bag to Damon. Allegedy, it was a Cincy coach/booster/?. Flint ultimately went to UC, where he had a not so great career. But your Huggins era folk speak to being a basketball school. Betcha cannot name the same number of star players for the football team?
Not a one!
And I could only name certain players the last few years for UC, because they were transfers from OSU
