Nico Iamaleava (QB Tennessee, bad poker player, transfer to UCLA)

I'd argue what you are seeing is what the uncontrolled dissolution of the old order and free for all to gain advantage before by semblance of a new one takes its place.

Now the NCAA and universities are at fault from from that. They could have made the "settlement" they are trying to get passed happen a decade or two ago and been able to control the outcomes much more.

I wouldn't argue with you at all. It's the in-between of models.

The old thing is dead/dying and the new thing isn't ready yet. Businesses, products, technologies, organizations, governments etc etc etc one model is on the way out and one is on the way in. That spot in the middle is chaotic.

That is what we are in right now with college football. Old model is broke, new model isn't built yet. I'm kind of taken back by all the pearl clutching to be honest. There is nothing new to mankind happening here. All the money flying around tells us the sport is in no danger of being killed/ruined/broken or whatever other hyperbole people want to throw out there.

It isn't any better or worse than it was before. It's just different.

OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Welp. Kennard Davis is visiting Ole Miss, so now I would guess OSU is not going to get him after all, as OSU hoops NEVER wins recruiting battles with the SEC over transfers. I wonder at what point do we stop accepting constantly losing recruiting battles to SEC programs that aren't blue bloods? I don't doubt that Davis will get $1M to transfer to the school of his choice.

Actually some are saying Miami is the team OSU has to beat out for Kennard Davis. Ole Miss just got a commitment today from AJ Storr (remember him?), who is fresh off of a season of top dollar NIL pay for underwhelming at Kansas. I'm skeptical that Ole Miss has the juice to have AJ Storr and Kennard Davis both, but it is Chris Beard we're talking about. Miami, they do have a new coach Lucas so they are probably looking to make a splash this season.

This is all because the NCAA/Bowl/Universities kept all the money for themselves for decades.

What you are seeing is simply the natural confusion that comes at the end of one system and the beginning of a new one.

Well the kids aren't supposed to be getting paid to go to the school. This is all because they wanted to be able to be paid for endorsements. It just got immediately corrupted as everybody knew it would.
Yep. Though there was always going to be local sponsorships cause why would a Columbus dealership pay NIL for a kid going to USC or TCU. But it quickly became pay for play. And with the courts telling the NCAA hands off or see you in court the NCAA can't even enforce the pay to play rules

The one thing is: the coaches signed a contract. There is usually some sort of buyout if they want to leave or are fired. That needs to be considered for the players too. If I'm a big time booster, why shell out a lot of money only for them to come back later demanding more? Where does it end?

According to 11W posts we are in contact with Cade Tyson. Major WOOF if that's our last portal get.

Guy totally bombed in his step up to competition at UNC last year.

Might as well just roll with Colin White in that role at that point.
Yeah, I'm not hoping for Cade Tyson. If he couldn't cut it on a UNC team that barely made the tourney, he won't be any better here.

2026 TX WR Brock Boyd is a Buckeye!!!

Login to view embedded media Login to view embedded media Login to view embedded media Login to view embedded media Regarding the UA camp:
And if there was a technician of the day, it would have to go to Brock Boyd. The 2026 wideout out of Southlake Carroll put on a clinic at Melissa HS creating separation with ease and little to no effort. His ability to set up defenders and time his breaks at the perfect moment is no accident. His feel and understanding of leverage in order to snap off his routes is textbook. Boyd has the feel and natural ball skills to win in the intermediate levels of the field as well as any receiver in the country. Plus, he has the long speed to win over the top against most defenders which forces corners to respect his ability to get vertical. Would love to see him add mass to his frame while maintaining his athleticism, but his nuance at the receiver position is second to none

Reminds me of Chris Olave with slight frame, great speed and solid route running to find seams in the defense

What is your primary Web Browser?

Starting in 2026, SSL/TLS certificate lifespans will be reduced from the current maximum of 13 months. By 2029, all public SSL/TLS certificates will have a 1.5-month maximum validity. Here’s what you need to know.
On April 11, 2025, the CA/Browser Forum (CA/B Forum) approved Ballot SC-081v3, a proposal from Apple that aims to dramatically reshape how organizations manage digital certificates and keys by reducing the lifespans of certificates and validation-related data.

But this update to the SSL/TLS Baseline Requirements isn’t just another technical change — it’s a fundamental shift that will require organizations to rethink their certificate management approach and strategies.

I don't know if anyone here is involved with actually ordering SSL/TLS certificates but this is gonna be a fuckin disaster. And it'll drive certificate prices (already exorbitant from some vendors) sky high.
