Buckeye Nation

Against Michigan and Indiana, the Buckeyes rolled with three or more TEs inside the 10-yard line a dozen (!) times.

The stat line on those 12 plays: 0/4 passing and eight carries for two total yards, which comes out to six inches per play in 13 and 14 personnel - for a team that has a plethora of NFL playmaking talent available.

If there were letter grades lower than F, then that is how you could objectively evaluate the Ohio State offense's absolutely bizarre overindulgence in its TE room during critical moments. This coaching staff is full of football nerds - if they saw any other team with their personnel doing this, they'd laugh at them. So, the question becomes who wants this?

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, Arrogant Twatwaffles, Emasculated Cucks, Feckless Marmots, Dirty Cheaters "Mid"chigan

DeBoer is actually a funny outcome because it puts Bama in a rough spot and keeps scUM as a 9-3 at best type team that can maybe stumble into a 12 team played once every couple of years (with a quick exit)

I don't think it's gonna happen though, even if Bama loses to OU they aren't firing him this year. Don't see him making that flip unless he was unemployed.

Chaz Coleman (DE Penn St., transfer to Tennessee)

PFF doesn't tell the whole story, as Coleman didn't play in every game. But his pass rush grade for the year was almost identical to Dylan Stewart as a freshman(someone everyone would've LOVED to land in the Portal). You go to the Portal for players ready to play and also guys who show high potential. Atkinson and George were both brought in as guys "ready to play" and neither have shown to be ready or able to compete at OSU's level. And I could see Coleman passing them both up if he were to be a Buckeye. The interim HC broke down why he didn't play more, and makes sense, since he was more a pass rusher and not yet strong enough in run support.

His stats are near identical to Hill's also btw. And honestly, why not bring in both if possible. But I feel that Hill is happy in Tuscaloosa, and Coleman is more of a realistic get.

As stated, I used PFF for snap counts. Seems like a reliable source for that info. He literally had 34 snaps the entire second half of the season. For reference, Hill had 44 snaps in the SEC championship game alone. You have to look at how a player progresses through a season, and again, PSU LB corps was injured and their defense was awful. Wouldn’t you put a high ceiling player on the field under those conditions? The other problem is that he doesn’t seem to fit what we do. Sounds like more of a 3-4 standup speed rusher if he can’t hold the edge.
