I think everyone needs to come to terms that we are never going to get basketball NIL at the level scUM does. As much as scUM and the DFBIA love to fancy themselves as an elite football program, they are in reality not, so they will gladly shift funds to basketball to win there when they are sputtering out 8/9 win seasons at best in football. We can definitely do better than what we are doing though and be more competitive.

I remember my wife dragging me to see that movie on our first anniversary. We went to a fancy seafood restaurant on the Camelback corridor. I gotta say, Ross Bjork's interview that 11W published does not have me very encouraged. Basically, Bjork thinks that simply a slightly larger revenue share allocated to basketball next year and using 3rd party NIL donors more will be sufficient to make up the difference between OSU and the other programs they have to compete with. Not very convincing when you realize that every program is doing the same things and OSU is already well-behind many of their peers.

ehhh....most of Taylor's seasons were very meh. He's carried by the high placement in the 5 years they were in the tournament (my system probably gives him more points than he should get honestly)....

Miller shouldn't have been fired when he was fired. That said, I started this in 1978-79, Miller had already been the coach for 2 years and neither one of those teams made the tournament. Edit to add: When the tournament expanded to 32 teams, Miller wasn't even the coach yet. He still didn't make the tournament until year 4.

The way I scored this was rewarding the placement of the game. A national final was worth 7 points, etc.

Matta remains the unicorn in Ohio State basketball history. It's not particularly close either.

American announcers are sleeping on Sweden. I can absolutely see them knocking off the Canadians to meet the US in the gold medal game.
