If you could change the outcome of one Ohio State football game, which would you choose?

Bama would have been out in that old format. We would have played the Domers.
And we all know how that game vs ND would’ve went.

UFM was very close to having titles in 2012, maybe 2013, and 2015. Sort of fell off from 2016-2018 but even that’s a 1-2 loss season

The 1980 Rose Bowl.

At the time, it was merely a gut wrenching loss that cost Ohio State the 1979 national championship. In retrospect, it was also the start of 15 years of mediocre Buckeye football that only ended with the gut wrenching losses of 1995, 1996, and 1998.

2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Here is a list of coaches that have won a national championship since 2000. Next to their name is the eligible year of coaching they made it into the NCAA tournament with the team that they experienced their first long-term success (or won the championship then flamed out in one case).

Golden - 2
Hurley - 3
Self - 1
Drew - 5
Bennett - 3
Wright - 4
Williams R - 2
Krzyzewski - 4
Ollie - 1
Pitino - 1
Calipari - 4
Calhoun - 4
Donovan - 3
Boeheim - 1
Williams G - 5
Izzo - 3

I'm sure the fanbases weren't real happy with years one and two of most of these guys.

Agreed with everything except 2012. I’m confident that 2012 gets absolutely waxed by Alabama.
Wouldn’t they have been playing undefeated Notre Dame, though?
1. I agree that they get smooshed by Bama.
2. How lame would it be if undefeated Notre Dame or undefeated Ohio State gets left out in favor of 1-loss Bama? I 100% believe it would have happened, though.

The Jerome Schottenstein Center (Official Thread)

Been to the Schott several times during the past several years. Both men's and women's basketball. I do have a bit of trouble with spending $5.2 million on a scoreboard, that to me, does all that it's supposed to do. OK, maybe it's not the shiniest apple in the B10 stable, but hey? Who gives a rip. Doubt seriously whether any recruit has stood on the floor, looks up, and say Not going here, the scoreboard is a mess.....maybe I'm wrong. PS, cannot some of these computer whiz bangs do some reprogramming to have it show whatever one believes is missing? I demand an audit of all Athletic Department budgets/funds/cash and contracts!
5.2 million in nil for basketball players might just make a difference though huh?

2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

This season is cooked. The girls are having a great season as is wrestling. Baseball with a promising start as well. This is the apathy for men's hoops. I just can't give a shit anymore. Life is too short.
Well, certainly at this juncture the play-by-play meltdown some are having when the team is struggling is uncalled for, because we shouldn't have any expectations of success without Mobley. The roster wasn't great to start with, and without Mobley they clearly have an uphill battle to try and win against any opponent worth their salt. It's not 100% over, they could still have a glimmer of hope if the absence is a short one, but there's no need to hold your breath at this point.

It's pretty obvious what they SHOULD do, invest enough NIL resources to help Diebler field a deeper, more talented team. I'm not saying they need to provide top-10 national resources, but they should absolutely be doubling the amount they're spending on the team this season, as they are clearly underfunding the product on the court & it shows. They badly need a legit big man, and have been inadequate in the post ever since Kaleb Wesson left, but haven't even seemed to come remotely close - what does that tell you?

The problem is I don't think the University is going to pivot enough in-house NIL. And getting 3rd party donors to boost the hoops NIL pot enough is probably going to be difficult considering the current product doesn't really inspire a lot of confidence. Which yes is directly related to the University not wanting to put much into the program, but we are just stuck in that place at the moment.

I've never said to fire him after this year, that wouldn't make any sense at this point. You give him a 3rd year but I think that's enough if he doesn't show clear improvement.
You think he should stay another year, yet you bitch and moan every game when the team struggles, as if it makes a difference. Makes total sense.
