Texas crude #2 is what, 75-90 dollars a barrel, so there's plenty to spend on athlete beef. And unlike many donors, this oil money flows in each and every day. Vonn says surgery saved her from amputation after Olympic crash

American skier Lindsey Vonn says she nearly lost her left leg following a frightening crash in the women's downhill at the Milan Cortina Olympics.

Interesting comment in here that the surgeon who helped save her leg was only there because she tore her ACL a few days prior.

Personally, I had shoulder surgery not so long ago. Not that I am a professional athlete by any stretch, by my surgeon used to be a doctor for the Ski and Snowboard teams. He did the repair while most others wanted to go the replacement route. I appreciate those athletes for abusing their bodies so my surgeon was able to get the necessary expertise to get me back to my activities!
