Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Some people think that less than a full mouth of teeth is a plus for a hooker though …
Well it’s proportionate to meth:coke

My point being they can maybe fake the sophistication of doing coke over meth but I’ve been up in that area….they are getting meth level hookers.

Probably from a truck stop.

People to Punch, Pet Peeves, and General Vexations (mega-merge)

I'm seeing more and more people parking in handicap spots, employees of the month spots and over spaces that are reserved for specific people with zero fucks given. When a society stops respecting these basic courtesies we have fallen.
I don't know if I'd go as far as "we have fallen", but I think I agree that a dude should be able to park in any other legitimate spot.

Never understood this practice by healthy people since those spaces are usually closest to the entrance. I am a fat old man with a desk/computer job and always look for a spot far away from the entrance so that I get at least a bit of exercise when I go places since I sit on my ass most of the time.
I park way away, usually, too. But it's more of a thing where I don't want to drive near the doofuses walking into and out of the store. Plus, I got a tiny car - I don't want to try pulling out of a parking spot where there's a lot of other cars. Your minivans and other nerdy cars aren't easy for me to see around.

But to your point... how hard is it to get a handicap tag? I see people parking in those spots, and the driver and passenger get out and they're as capable as I am. But they have a tag. So.. I guess they're allowed to do that? But back to Dub's point, why would they want to park there? It's literally 3 spots closer than the first non-handicap spot.

15 yard penalties for celebrating when the game is already well in hand against a very hateable team are my absolute favorite penalties by a wide margin. Giving Underwood an INT to go along with his dreadful passing stats was icing on the cake. I'll take a 50 yard loss if it means he's 8/18 for 63 yards AND a pick.

What a clown show they are.

Is there a specific penalty for gouging out eyes and skull fucking an opponenet?

Because if there were, that would be my favorite penalty.

I'd take the interception with a safety and a 15-yd penalty, if it meant Ohio State had a chance to get another interception.

Game Thread Ball State at tOSU, Sat. Sept. 5th, 12:30 ET BTN

Ball State from their preseason outlook looks like a pretty bad MAC team.

Their QB is either going to be a guy who only completed 56% of his passes in D2 last year or a guy who has only throw 12 passes (4/12) across 3 seasons between SMU and Texas State and their oline is horrible (gave up the 2nd most sacks per game last season)

Our D should feast easily here.

Defensively they are replacing their top 8 tacklers from a meh MAC defense with a bunch of lower-level transfers. Can't see them being able to stop us much.

We could very well be up like 42-0 at the half. A cover probably depends on how much Day is willing to let the backups actually play.
What I'm hearing is a perfect tune up game and film to determine who rolls the most against Texas. It's almost like we planned it that way.

I do mostly agree with this. The problem is you just never know what's going to happen when hyopthetically the deep bench is in later in the 4th quarter of a 56-0 type game though. That's where Ball State might be able to pick up a cheap TD to beat the spread.

That's why they call it gambling

I'm inclined to say Miami beats out the field here. Cash plus home field advantage rather than just cash wins out imo. And Miami is a hot team on the field as much as it hurts to say it. I'd love to be wrong though.

The cover is really a bet on Ball State scoring or not as I see it.
-50.5
56.5

Right? The bet is does OSU kick a FG or score that 8th TD/does Ball State find a way to score a TD.

Looking at it probabilistically and not trying to predict exact outcomes I'd say the odds are a lot better that OSU can score 8 or more than they are that Ball State scores 1.

I watched as well. I specifically enjoyed watching the body language of the players once they realized they a) didn't have the plays and b) weren't facing a mind numbingly stupid gameplan. They realized the better team was actually going to win and they just quit.
Of course, some great parts of that game:
1. Their fans insist that Smith fumbled that touchdown reception and it should be a turnover and touchback. You're grasping for anything you can hold onto.
2. They wanted to defend the M... and Ohio State showed that they had no desire to attack it.
3. In their fans' infinite wiseness (is that a word?), they laugh at Ohio State for celebrating the last interception. It came on 4th down, so by intercepting the ball, Ohio State lost yards, like the idiots that they are. "We're so smart. Our team lost, but at least we didn't lose 10 yards on that play." On top of that, Ohio State got a 15-yard penalty after the play. Anything to take away from the fact that you didn't benefit from the cheating.
