Former Ohio State golfer Neal Shipley moves closer to PGA card with Korn Ferry win

Former Ohio State golfer Neal Shipley is one win away from earning his PGA Tour card after a win at The Ascedent Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour Sunday.

Former Ohio State golfer Neal Shipley moved a step closer to earning his PGA Tour playing card with a dramatic win at The Ascendent on the Korn Ferry Tour. The tournament was played at TPC Colorado in Berthoud, Colo.

Shipley, 24, earned his second Korn Ferry win this year following a win at the LECOM Suncoast Classic in April. He won that championship in a playoff. Any Korn Ferry player who wins three tournaments in a season earns an immediate promotion to the PGA Tour for the rest of that season as well as the following year.

Last concert you saw?

Weird Al is on the bill for Riot Fest this year. He’s not my cup of tea but apparently a bunch of people are pretty excited to see him. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it too, but it is an interesting entertainer for Riot Fest.
I remember hearing him on Dr Demento doing Another One Rides the Bus back in 1980. Who would have guessed he'd still be relevant 45 years later.
