2026-27 Ohio State Men's Basketball

The NCAA Tournament will be expanding to 76 teams starting in the coming season

I think just making the tournament is definitely no longer any sort of accomplishment to stand on for any power conference team.

So we get to complain about which shitty teams should have gotten in the tournament over the other shitty teams for the last slots who will probably lose in the first round anyways. The tournament has always been my favorite sporting event.

The big reason I lost interest in baseball was adding more damn wild card teams. Going through the 162 season used to mean something. Now you can sneak in with a few games over .500….get hot and go on a run.

Probably be a matter of time before 24 teams for the college football playoffs.

Guess I’ll just go back to the NFL.

Cleveland Guardians (2026 Season Thread)

They added a catcher that can’t hit and gave up Tugboat, which is the best name.

Bailey is arguably the best defensive catcher in baseball. He doesn't offer a ton at the plate but he's an upgrade over Naylor.

Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 20 Straight B1G Titles)

I should have caught this last week when the record was set but with the victory yesterday Buckeye head coach Ty Tucker has passed Stanford legend Dick Gould (776 wins) on the all-time head coach NCAA tennis win list.
Tucker now sits in sole possession of first place with 778 wins in his 27 seasons at Ohio State. Gould accumulated his 776 wins over 38 seasons.
One Buckeye is on fire, sophomore Nikita Filin has won 19 consecutive singles matches. 18 of the wins were in straight sets.
Now please let's add an outdoor championship to it
