I know nothing about the situation, but that may help explain why they left Hoban before the school year ended.Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just reporting:
So, fuck him?
With a giant rusty metal brush ....So, fuck him?
Because we don't have an infinite supply of money. Gotta pick and choose your battlesWhy shouldn’t we then?
It's probably about the Benjamin's if he leaves. I suspect the U is willing to throw a bag full at him.Well, looks like Coach J is adding some pretty stout recruits (if he lands those two DTs), and warrant a 'best DL in country' tag. Hopefully that entices him to stay with his commit.
This is coming from a teammate that just graduated from Hoban. The brother that won state in wrestling grabbed his crotch and flipped off the crowd after winning because he was being booed. The administration was furious and wanted him to sign something saying that any future behavioral issues would result in immediate expulsion. The father refused to have him sign it. Things got ugly. There were threats of a law suit and the end result was both boys transferred to Massillon. There was also rumors about one of the brothers getting caught vaping weed in the school bathroom. I am curious with the new bi-laws passed last week how that’s all going to work out. It’s not going to be as easy as just getting an address in the school system. The new law basically states that their parents will have to establish a full time residence in Massillon and sell their old house in order to avoid the half season penalty.
So, fuck him?The new staff are more competent, but they aren't exactly QB gurus.
I don't think they are really going to be that good for him. They'll probably go full Urban with JT Barrett with him and run him into the ground. JT Barrett had way better vision as a runner though. The great majority of Underwood's "great running" in 2025 was on broken plays against lesser defenses. Against Oklahoma and Ohio State he had 9 runs for 0 yards. 30% of his rushing total came in 1 game against Central Michigan. He's got athleticism but he's not even close to a Scam Newton or Vince Young or even JT Barrett when it comes to actually being a runner.
I thought the exact same thing. While I don't have direct experience teaching, it sounds a lot like being a public school teacher ...
He might show some improvement this year. He actually has a good coach and staff now. That being said, this guy is still a huge project who essentially shit away a full year of development in Sharrona's system. He might become something in 27 but not this year.
While I don't have direct experience teaching, it sounds a lot like being a public school teacher ...It’s really not about being the smartest person in the room or the company.
It’s about dealing with distraction. People don’t listen, don’t pay attention, and people certainly don’t read.
It’s about dealing with organizations hiring us to modernize their systems, but are driven by not rocking the boat of the current processes.
It’s about having to develop to the lowest common denominator. Again, because attention spans are short.
i also don't like extending it much beyond even 10 or 12 because it makes the regular season less meaningful.
but... there's no way the ratings can drop. mathematically it would not go in that direction. more teams = more games = more money. it does somehow "devalue" the regular season, but it doesn't seem to get in the way with mlb, nba, nfl, nhl.
and with nil there's not going to be angst about letting college athletes endure more wear and tear.
so, as long as you don't drop more than something like 3 games in the regular season, and your roster isn't totally depleted, you're going to be in and able to make a run and earn more $$$.
