2027 AL DL Karlos May is a Buckeye!!!

THiS!
This isn’t pre-emptive sour grapes over DGG, but imho, May committing is bigger. Winning NC and Conference titles comes down to the trenches. Big, athletic DL is what led the SEC’s dominance. 10yrs ago this kid doesn’t make it out of Alabama, and if he did it’d be right to Louisiana.

to be honest I think this was a more important addition to the class than DGG.

2026 World Cup (Official Thread)

Amazing World Cup. Let's do it again please

Google AI: FIFA generates billions of dollars in total revenue from each World Cup. For example, the 2022 tournament in Qatar generated roughly $7.6 billion, and the 2018 tournament in Russia brought in about $5.4 billion. This income supports FIFA's operations for the four-year cycle.
Historically, total revenues over these four-year cycles have steadily climbed:
    • 2022 Qatar: $7.6 billion in total revenue
    • 2018 Russia: $5.4 billion in total revenue
    • 2014 Brazil: $4.8 billion in total revenue
While these figures represent total revenue—which includes broadcasting rights, licensing, sponsorship deals, and ticket sales—FIFA's actual net profit is lower. The governing body typically retains about half of these gross earnings as surplus, which is reinvested back into football development worldwide, operational costs, and the staging of future tournaments.

Fifa to announce record $15bn World Cup revenue, smashing expectations

Fifa will announce record $15bn (£11.2bn) revenues from this summer’s World Cup, significantly exceeding the targets set before the tournament.

Fifa’s member associations were informed of the boost in income by Gianni Infantino on Saturday. Originally the governing body had projected $11bn in earnings. Sources have indicated that hospitality and ticketing, especially through the steeply priced secondary market, account for a significant amount of the increase. Fifa takes 15% from the buyer and another 15% from the seller on the secondary market.

Such a bonanza may also increase the chances of the US hosting another edition in the near future. The next World Cup available for bids is the 2038 tournament. At a reception on Friday, Trump confirmed his country’s eagerness for a repeat performance. “You should choose the United States of America again,” he said. “This time we will leave Canada and Mexico out.” The US has also held talks with Fifa about hosting the Club World Cup in 2029.

2038 World Cup bids

With North America (2026), Europe and Africa (2030) and Asia (2034) all hosting in quick succession, the 2038 edition is expected to be open only to bidders from CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean) or Oceania.

Just sayin': The United States might have a good chance of getting it again in 2038.

TN RB David Gabriel Georges (Tennessee Verbal)

Can we shift for a second? How do you guys actually feel about him as a prospect? How good do you think he is/what do you see?

Does his running style remind you of anyone in particular?

Is he actually special? It so what is the super power(s)?

Just curious - I haven’t seen much actual dialogue about him as a prospect (sorry if I missed it) and the NIL subject gets tiresome at times.
All of what you say makes him special doesn’t mean anything same with our WR haul) if we can’t load up the OL, so I think the focus needs to stay on building up Bowen’s class.

EDIT: And the last few seasons have shown that… in good and bad ways.
