Chad Simmons has Ohio State as a major contender for Joey Fleming after his first gameday visit, second visit of the calendar year.
Fleming says the family feel at Ohio State separates them. He specifically noted how Ryan Day and Tyler Bowen made time to meet with him before the game and says that meant a lot to him given that it was an early kickoff.

Gorney confirming that right now it's a Notre Dame vs Ohio State battle for him early.

They need game clocks with tenths of a second.

The Rams just hiked it with 3 seconds left and it only took 1 second to spike it.

The reason they don't is football only deals in whole seconds. That's why the spike rule is the way it is. If the ball is spiked After the 0:01 point but before it hits 0:00, by rule that last fraction of a second has to tick off. Game over. That's why BIG officials doubly screwed over WMU. Even by their own super secret clock, it already showed 0:01 before the WMU defender touched the ball but not yet 0:00. Therefore, it was less than a full second remaining even by their wrong clock. Game over by either clock.

Yeah there were a number of big runs specifically where it seemed like there was no where to go but somehow he’d pop out the other side

Mhm, poor gap integrity is a common ailment amongst young linebackers at this level, it's all about containing your aggressiveness, I think TJ and Riley have enough play making ability/aggression that's it's worth dealing with the learning curve, once they play with the proper amount of patience, were in the money

Ohio State’s second Big Ten game at the Horseshoe will kick off in the late afternoon.
The Big Ten announced Monday that the Buckeyes’ Oct. 10 matchup with Maryland will kick off at 4:15 p.m. on Big Ten Network. The game previously had potential kickoff times ranging from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Eleven Dubgate 14 will be held before the game, starting at 1 p.m. behind the Varsity Club on the corner of Tuttle Park Place and Norwich Ave.
The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman reported in August that Ohio State vs. Oregon is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS, though the Big Ten has not yet made that time official. With Ohio State vs. Michigan already scheduled for noon on FOX, that leaves Ohio State vs. Northwestern as the Buckeyes’ only remaining opportunity for a home game with a later kickoff — and presumably, the only chance for the program to debut its Tunnel Vision all-black uniforms under the lights at Ohio Stadium.
Maryland lost to UCLA 54-3 at home this past weekend, dropping the Terrapins to 2-2. Second-year quarterback Malik Washington threw four interceptions, while Maryland also fumbled twice. Mike Locksley, who fell to 39-51 as the Terps’ head coach, vowed to turn the program around.

You usually give away an upper first round QB for a 5th round inside the first contract, right?

If you're lucky

Editing for context around this being a draft pick that could have been turned into all of the Saints picks that year.

I'm pretty sure the Browns usually let him through the first contract and then let him go for nothing.

I'm not sure about that but Jakobi definately should be the short yardage back. And Bey when healthy should get some reps.

John going to hire Stallions for him?

Simple Jim, Spin Pass and Corum sure tore up the NFL, haven't they?

Agreed. #2 was definitely the weakest point.
If #2 was worth 1 point, #3 was worth 10 points, and #1 was worth 100 points.

I would give #3 25 points at least. Heisman hype definitely is reserved for players on playoff/natty contenders than a whatever bowl player.

Some exceptions that come to mind in the past 15-20 years are RG3, Lamar Jackson, and the guy from Colorado 2-3 years ago.

Great developmental spot for such a likeable and talented guy.

Philly would have been even better.

Yeah this game scares the fuck out of me. Can easily see Iowa going on 8 minutes drives running the ball at 4 yards a clip.

Fifth rounder???
The Vikings traded their 2024 first round pick for 0 playoff wins and a 2027 fifth round pick?
As a Browns fan, I enjoy seeing other teams get boned by bad draft choices.

Well said I would’ve said the same except I am not sure if point 2 is as impactful. Yes Texas is a stronger brand but I don’t think the disparity is as much of a factor as the manning and team record points

Yep, the season is upon us.

8 games
4 on the road
the two "easiest" teams left both are home games

IU, USC and Oregon all go without saying as being tough games.

Any team that can run the ball, and is willing to stick with it, while playing some decent level of defense can cause this OSU team a serious problem. That most certainly covers Iowa and tsun, maybe Nebraska now too.

NU and Maryland shouldn't be pulse raisers.

Buckle up.
