I asked if you could see a difference between the school negotiating a price for a player vs players seeking their own benefits. You replied with this:

So you're referring to Auburn as either "turning a blind eye" or "enabling"......neither of which they did. They negotiated a price for a player and then the player's dad got paid. There is a difference. What we did was bad.....what they did was worse. To act like we aren't allowed to question the ethics of the dirty cheaters of the SEC* just because some greedy OSU players took what asshole boosters gave them is wrong.


*note for Gator: dirty cheats of the SEC refers to any program in the SEC that actually is a dirty cheater. it does not say all SEC teams are dirty cheaters.

Any defamation or false light suit would be an uphill slog. I just finished torts with a prof who lives for this stuff. He just retired from teaching and would probably love to consult on a case like this if the accusations are false. Below is the link to his law reveiw article on the Duke LaCrosse episode.

I'm gonna go slightly off topic and throw on my tinfoil hat right now. So the person who claimed Tressel rigged the raffles was an assistant with him here. Well, it turns out that one Chuck Heater coached the DBs in 1985, Tressel's last year as an assistant. Some might remember Heater as being a scUM running back from '71-'74. Coincidence? I think not. :tinfoil:
