I asked if you could see a difference between the school negotiating a price for a player vs players seeking their own benefits. You replied with this:
So you're referring to Auburn as either "turning a blind eye" or "enabling"......neither of which they did. They negotiated a price for a player and then the player's dad got paid. There is a difference. What we did was bad.....what they did was worse. To act like we aren't allowed to question the ethics of the dirty cheaters of the SEC* just because some greedy OSU players took what asshole boosters gave them is wrong.

*note for Gator: dirty cheats of the SEC refers to any program in the SEC that actually is a dirty cheater. it does not say all SEC teams are dirty cheaters.

Look, I'm not going to get into this crap disecting posts. The fact is that our program has shown an ugly side that we've accused other programs of having. Now is the time to shut up about other programs and their problems and just deal with our own. The posts about SEC cheaters always sounded like crybaby posts BEFORE our problems....now they sound like obfuscation and excuse. Enough already about Cam/SEC...who cares.

O.J. murdered his ex and her lover. Allegedly.
There were both criminal and a civil trial. The civil trial proved that O.J. murdered his ex and her lover, and a judgment to that effect was entered.

We are still waiting for the civil proceedings to prove Cam did what we all think he may have done.

Kyle, it looks hypocritical to demand proof of y'alls wrong doing at the same time y'all accept allegations of Cam's wrong doing as fact. You both deserve the same presumption of doubt.

Our guilt has been accepted. How much? I'm not sure. So I'll agree that Cam may have only demanded 150K for his services.

We never promised Gator fans that Buckeye fans wouldn't be hypocrites. Now go outdoors and enjoy all that muggy.

Shut your mouth Max! :pissed: In seven days I'm at a scout camp in Mississippi for a week that will average 94 degrees and about three inches of rain every day. fml

Is it possible for Ohio State to try to change the tune and go on the offensive versus defending (like it has for the past 4-5 months)? It would definitely change voice.

I'm sure the school can find out every single source (even "Ellis") in the Sports Illustrated story. Discredit them, get your story/your players' story out there, change the tune.

Of course, there is an NCAA investigation, which probably prevents OSU from doing everything above.

Just seems like the narrative is very one-sided and OSU hasn't done anything to change that since March (or so). The coaching change didn't really change it.

I agree. I don't give a rat's ass about what other schools do. I only care that Ohio State does things the right way.
bull shit. I care because I'm not just going to accept my team being dragged through the mud for doing the same thing every other school does.....and in the case of Auburn we didn't even do anything nearly as bad (based on current info of both ours and their transgressions. objections based on what has and hasn't been proven have been heard and overruled).

"Public Figures". I feel for the kid and his dad, but it is going to be hard to impossible to prove malice.
Why is there zero recourse or accountability for the media, and why does it become the accused's responsibility to disprove a potential falsehood?
