Screw the contracts, back out, take whatever monetary penalty there is. The NCAA would never accept it because it would screw over Florida.
Yeah, OSU could do this, but it probably wouldn't be a smart move for three reasons.
i) As you noted, the NCAA would probably still enforce the ban next season
ii) The awarded monetary damages would probably be pretty substantial
iii) Just as a general principle, I doubt OSU wants to be in the position of screwing over innocent third-parties, like UF, the Gator Bowl, and all the businesses that are planning to make money from the event. That kind of thing can come back to bite you.

Cooperating with the NCAA certainly paid off.
That's what's puzzling to me in all this. What's the fucking point in even self-reporting? If I'm a big time program, I stonewall the shit out of the NCAA and force them to use their limited resources to dig up any violations.

I also tell anyone who's even stepped foot in a Yahoo office to stay the hell away.

Part of me is relieved that we can get on with shit now. Another part is pissed about how fucking stupid this ruling is. Another part of me thinks it's hillarious that we get hit like this for tats and shit while other programs are doing coke off strippers' asses on yachts paid for by boosters.

sign me up for them super conferences and send the NCAA over to jerry's house.

I almost think the NCAA does this on purpose to emphasize that they are punishing the program, not the players.

Fuck this noise.

Yep. Didn't the NCAA tell us the decision should come by the first or second week? Taking this long on top of everything else was fucking ridiculous.
