I suspect the NCAA will give a penalty higher than what we have self imposed. I suspect our higher ups know that, and made sure the NCAA did something more, just to save their face (by not accepting the self imposed penalties). Whether that includes a bowl ban, I don't know.
I agree with this. I think no matter what we do, the NCAA is going to want to add more to feel like they did something. So, I don't want to see any more self-imposed sanctions. We've already done enough.

Okay, going a lil abstract here, but would a one-year bowl ban, if it happens actually appeal to urban meyer? or a new coach period? doesn't it loosen up a little stress knowing that the post season is null

It hurts recruiting-wise and also player development-wise without the extra practices. So it puts them behind the 8-ball.

It also hurts the dash-usage-wise on my computer so I hope that isn't an-issue.

Was just gonna mention this.

What is your guys' feelings on the Bucks imposing a ban this season, in the hopes that next season we will get a "better" bowl, and try not to punish the un-involved players.

A bowl ban this season hurts the seniors the most, and with Posey/Herron/Adams et al being seniors, it seems better than punishing all the other guys next season.

I suppose it's quite the gamble, as the NCAA may decide to impose a second year.

Just interested in your opinions.

I think with Urban Meyer maybe/probably coaching next year, I doubt we will be in the running for the Rose Bowl/NC game next year. So our pick is either Gator Bowl this year, or Capital One bowl next year right? I say just play the bowl game this year.

If the NCAA does come back with added a bowl ban, it will almost assuredly be taken by OSU this year if possible. It is no secret that OSU asking for an quick resolution to the FTM issues. If they can get it sometime before the end of the 1st week of December (hopefully early in that week), they will know if the NCAA wants to add a 1 year bowl ban. Then it will be impose on this year team.

They are 6-5 too with their last game vs Boston College. They wouldn't be getting a "prime" bowl game either. Giving up the Independence Bowl, the Meineke Car Car Bowl, or the Hyundai Sun Bowl, etc. isn't that big of loss.

Also, if we get a bowl band I'd much rather it be this year than next.

P.S. Does the ACC have the worst "conference bowl tie-ins" or what?

Who's going to be thier FA QB next yr?

I think the Badger fans are counting on redshirt junior/about-to-graduate Andrew Luck to head to Madison to pursue a degree not offered at Stanford, since he actually has 1 year of eligibility remaining.

Bobby,

While I loved your qb play in 95 your negativity is unwarranted....They could win the whole thing or not we have no way to gage it...Ohio State won the national championship after a 7-5 season and to be honest with Simon and Williams and Braxton and Shazier Ohio State will be a force in the B1G next year
