The "memo" passing around ESPiN says "keep mentioning Ohio State scandal" at every opportunity!" So if we hear "Miami in trouble" expect to hear "and Ohio State" thrown in some where. This is a media war and they want total destruction of Ohio State and the Big Ten.
"The best revenge is living well!" :oh:

ESPiN is running another article saying Pryor received additional benefits. Pryor's lawyers told ESPiN that, and tOSU's denying that.

Edit: The 500th page of this thread!

i read it as tOSU is denying that Pryor told tOSU about additional benefits not that we are denying he received the benefits.

FWIW, Torg denying he got punked. I tend to believe him here since he had photographs he showed to DStanley, who acknowledged they looked bad. As bad as he is on the radio, I don't think D would be adding credibility to the Ellis connection if it weren't real.

The Pryor "revelations" have the ability to be more impactful from an NCAA standpoint anyway. The concern from the USC ruling: "high profile players demand high profile compliance."

Not trying to be a Negative Nancy, but I think we're getting a little too wet in the crotch region over this Miami story and forgetting that we still have a shitstorm in our own backyard.

pryor was ruled ineligible for an entire season, then left the university, whom quickly disassociated him for the next 5 years. let me know if/when usc did any of that to reggie bush. the two aren't remotely comparable.

and yes the torg, who is a borderline total moron, got played.

THIS

LOIC and FTM are usually caused by the actions or lackthereof of the University. Players can and will F up. If the university doesn't catch them but should have...then you have FTM or LOIC. What we did with Pryor et al was great monitoring. We found an issue while he was still in school and suspended the player for his wrongdoing.

I admire your positive attitude, but let's keep in mind that some of these transgressions may have occured while he was still playing; and further, its likely they would not have been uncovered if the NCAA had not been investigating him in the first place.
