Only one persons opinion on Ohio State Football matters to me, and that is my own. Everyone else, including my own out of state family members - can simply go fuck themselves and enjoy losing to the Buckeyes as usual.

:oh:

You realize you just told everybody on this board to fuck themselves, right?

No different than when the NCAA was on campus for the MoC allegations.

EXACTLY!!! Been my hope that the only real thing they can get Ohio State on is what was in the Letter of Allegations. I really think the best case is Tressel gets a no-show penalty for a few year and we get probation.

Not so fast there, Chic Harley-breath. Transitive properties apply. If we are all bkb, as you bloody well know is true, then he is us. Consequently, he values our opinions as his own.

It's really all very simple.

I really want to see them exposed over this and I really, really want their circulation to dip to the point that they fold.

they even have all their reporters tweeting the clarification...

"some reports have overlooked that Ohio BMV didn't probe improper benefits"

well no shit....who in their right mind would think the Ohio BMV has any athority to probe improper benefits. how would the BMV even know the NCAA rules. idiots.

Reports didn't "neglect" that info. They just reported the facts that they saw no irregularites in those sales.

he has gotten a lot more opinionated since he took the promotion to feature writer last week. He has been trashing Pryor's intelligence lately where before he would stick to "just the facts"

damn....the worldwide leader is on its game today

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6686479

Screw ESPN....I didn't see once mention of this on SportsCenter....but I did read this....It must be great to be a hack reporter and cover your ass both ways. If the NCAA finds something it is very damaging, if it doesn't I told you all along that it was about "tats for memorabilia"....

If this had been Ohio BMV states that car sales were not consistent with what the general public pays...I will bet dollars to donuts that ESPN and this hack would have it on the front page and SportsCenter would be running it every 10-15 minutes in reports and on the ticker....:grr:

http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/28213/no-wrongdoing-found-with-osu-car-deals

As I've written for weeks, the car sales issue isn't Ohio State's biggest problem. Given the gray area around used cars and sales prices, it's difficult to prove NCAA violations occurred. Still, the BMV's report bodes well for Ohio State at its upcoming hearing before the NCAA's Committee on Infractions.

The allegations of memorabilia sales among players are potentially much more damaging for Ohio State. Individuals such as Edward Rife and Dennis Talbott are likely more significant than Aaron Kniffin in the NCAA's investigation of the program.

The school must prove memorabilia sales are not a systematic problem; that the seemingly hurried December investigation into sales involving Rife and players was sufficient; and that enough was done to educate and monitor the players in this area.

There's plenty of reasons to complain about the Dispatch's coverage, but this isn't one of them. There are plenty of fans out there - probably the exact type of fan that gets their Ohio State coverage primarily from a newspaper - who don't understand the distinction between investigating for violations of the law and investigating for NCAA violations.

I think it's easy to forget sometimes that there's a large portion of the fanbase that doesn't follow the team online or post on message boards. Everybody on BuckeyePlanet or on OSU forums in general may know the distinction, but we're a small percentage of the whole.

i don't know about that. i would say 99% of people know that the BMV has nothing to do with the NCAA and if they don't they probably cant read anyway so they wouldn't have a dispatch in front of them.

Also, on ESPNs article they go on to say..."the BMV did not investigate TPs use of loaner cars"....well no shit.

In my opinion, these little tidbits of info aren't to inform the uniformed but to further their agenda of "OSU is dirty" (which we are guilty of in some areas so it is our own fault) and get subtle digs at OSU in even when one of their major stories is starting to be knocked down just a peg.
