Not directed at you individually but speaking of dumbass shit, why are people so out to get Small now and not the player(s) who actually did the shit that started all this?

I am anti lynch mob but if one is going to be formed (by all accounts it is) at least show some basic intelligence and go burn down the right fucking house no?
Well, to be fair, again- Ray Small IS one of the players that was doing this. Admittedly.

Like not reading the most recent post in this thread, now appearing RIGHT above your post?

In what world is Ray Small not causing this, with his rampant and unending violations emerging from his actions and mouth?

Fair enough and I didn't see the "pryor getting killed on twitter" post so I'm sure if its dawning on me many others are already there.

There must be alot more ready to surface or Tressel wouldn't have left a family vacation and flown back to resign. I think the administration set JT up to be the fall guy. The AD and president should pack as well. God Bless Tress

Im not out to get the guy. But one thing about the state of ohio is... they love their football. Not sure what ray small is doing now jobwise but at some point he may need to find a job instate and people are going to remember how he responded. Basically, he has burned alot of bridges!

if pryor is getting killed on twitter, then so should the other 4 players that were with him at the podium that also got suspended for 5 games

They might be, I didn't check. I'm not happy that their actions directly led to this situation but some of those comments are way out of line. I have no idea why those guys want to open themselves up to that.

Absolutely agree.

They were 100% behind Tressel after Tatgate. Now they force him to resign.

Something wicked this way comes.

not really they didn't have a choice but to support him until the facts came out unless you want a situation from he who should not be named, and that circus.

So I still don't understand why the NCAA investigates certain things with fine tooth combs (Ohio State), and turn their heads on other scandals (USC and Auburn) until their completely irrelevant. I have a feeling their going to investigate into Cam Newton's issue much like they did Reggie Bush and it [censored]es me the [censored] off. I really [censored]ing hate the NCAA.

That is all, I think I'll spend the rest of my time today in the drunk thread. See ya.

Ed Martin, the Fab Five & footballers were investigated twice. They got a slap on the wrist. The feds happened across evidence which forced their hands down the road.

The NCAA investigated Tressel earlier and barely touched the football program. The basketball team was sanctioned harshly.

The feds triggered this scandal, as did media inroads through the FOIC requests.

They found almost identical problems at Oklahoma. Remember Big Red Motors? Adrian Peterson was caught up in a scandal there years before Bomar & his center were implicated. Details surfaced that half of the team "worked" there, among many other problems. The football program got off while basketball was slaughtered for texting.

Alabama, while on probation, has had quite a bit of funny business going on down south, yet the NCAA's punishment is for selling textbooks.

Yahoo forced the NCAA's hand with USC.

Just went back and looked thru every post of mine in this thread. Most of which were arguing with a gator fan.

Anyway, I found four lol smileys. One was laughing at a michigan fan for calling TSUN a football school, and the other three were laughing at Numby for saying "mostly probably", and mili for working his swim meets into the discussion.

So, yeah, not so much.

You left out the ones in the all in, not all in, and other related threads, but I'm amused to see you actually went back and counted them.

The point is you blew this off as no big deal, laughed at any suggestion Tressel would be gone, and dismissed all evidence as "circumsantial".

Loyalty is a great quality. Blind loyalty is naive. It is not disloyal to recognize the difference.

In this day in age it's all about media driven issues. ESPN turned just as big a blind eye as the NCAA with the Cam Newton case. Sure they did their share of investigative reporting, but all of that STOPPED when the NCAA decided they weren't going to investigate deeper. Why the sudden switch? Is the SEC (sorry Gator, conspiracy theory ONLY) really that protected by the media? The fact that they field one of the two National Title contenders every year for the last 5-7 years have anything to do with it? Sorry the NCAA as a business has got to go.
