WR Verlon Reed (transfer to Findlay)

http://www.elevenwarriors.com/2011/08/fall-camp-notes-day-one#more
Out the first five games of the season, it only made sense that DeVier Posey ran with the second team today. This gave the opportunity for Philly Brown and Verlon Reed (as well as Hall) to get reps at receiver with the first team. I know Philly is the more experienced guy, but the hype around Verlon Reed is real and he was the best pass-catcher on the field today. It was even reported that he has surpassed Brown on the depth chart, but we will see how things shake out throughout camp.

Getting a little ahead of ourselves for someone who hasn't really played a meaningful snap of CFB yet aren't we? lol

That's what the offseason/preseason is all about. Better to be ridiculously optimistic than constantly negative in my opinion.

Oh, and Reed is several inches taller than Glenn, so he could be even better!

Walk on to Biletnikoff winner? Yeah, I'd take that. Does he have Glenn's speed?

Reed has a scholarship so he can't do what Glenn did.

Verlon's good day got overshadowed by Stoney's 3 TDs , but Verlon did what was needed today. We might have gone away from him too soon, but Stoney was uncoverable today. A solid performance for Verlon's first time.
