WR Noah Brown (Washington Commanders)

It was just my opinion. I put 5 guys we are in on ahead of him: Mavety, Prince, McMillan, Lattimore and Holley. Doesn't matter anyway, there is likely room for him even with the 5 mentioned and it is clear the staff wants him. I hope we land him!

Pope John XXIII (Sparta, N.J.) four-star receiver and Rutgers priority recruit Noah Brown revealed Monday via Twitter that he'd be taking an official visit to a school not named Rutgers University:

"Will be taking an official visit to Ohio St Sept. 7th," tweeted Brown, the 6-2, 220-pound versatile offensive threat.

Brown's recruitment has long been viewed a two-team race between Rutgers and Ohio State. He has visited the Rutgers campus multiple times, while his official visit to OSU will mark his third trek to Buckeye country.

Although Brown currently has no official visit scheduled with Rutgers, the fact that he has such a strong familiarity with his in-state program could likely keep the Scarlet Knights in the game.

Brown has expressed the desire to make a final collegiate decision before Sept. 12, the commencement of his 2013 high school football season.

However, it would seem logical for the Rutgers staff to now push for an official visit, as well; considering they were perceived the (slight) leader in Brown's recruitment up until the OSU official visit announcement.

To battle Ohio State for a player they really want, when they've had the luxury of having that player on campus for an official visit... when you haven't...

Let's just say the deck would be stacked against them.

You're forgetting that a spot for erick smith is certainly open for him.
And 247sports now has Osu as a clear leader for Noah brown going into his visit and him committing in a week(sorry my link wouldn't paste on my iPad). Big news, and can't wait to see the staff put on the full court press for brown.

The latest with New Jersey wideout: The highest profile recruit in attendance Saturday was four-star wide receiver Noah Brown of Sparta (N.J.) Pope John XXIII, whom Scout.com ranks as the No. 36 wide receiver in the 2014 recruiting class.

Though some anticipated an oral commitment could have been issued to Ohio State before the end of the weekend, Brown left Columbus an uncommitted prospect. That, however, doesn’t mean the Buckeyes won’t have a shot at landing the 6-1, 190-pounder.

Brown was spotted before the game chatting with Ohio State player personnel director Mark Pantoni, and that was before the Buckeyes rolled out the red carpet. Brown posted on his personal Twitter account that he ate dinner with coach Urban Meyer after the game.

The Buckeyes, who seem to be in a two-school race with Rutgers, could be in good positioning if Brown keeps his original announcement date of Sept. 12.
