One thing I've learned in conversations with staff is that it is absolutely correct in many's assessment of what JT looks for in a prospect. I'm referring to the size, speed, power categories. This goes especially for the guys that are in the DB/WR categories with the exception of the "tall" WR's. I coudn't even tell you where GS will start out at upon arrival. Safety (most likely), CB (next most likely), WR? We'll just have to wait and see. Ray Small, Kurt Coleman and Grant Schwartz are all at the same level as far as speed goes. Chimdi Chekwa could very well be right there as well. All four could easily find themselves at several spots. Again, that's the way JT likes it. Where any of these players start out will also be determined by what the staff feels about what they see after spring ball. Kurt will get a jump on things as he's coming in for spring. Though an advantage for sure, not as great as one might think. Actually the advantage depends on the player. Ray Small WILL start out as a WR. Other than that. We'll just have to wait and see how things play out.
On BN someone reported that Grant ran a 10.6 100 meter dash time while being sick. If true that is just crazy fast helathy or not.
