Yep. Guess what Chris... Everybody. Hates. F******. School. It's just that everyone else realizes it's something that must be done to get to the next level, whether that's a job or the NFL, and we can't coast by on our parents' reputation/wealth.

Personally, I don't agree. I enjoyed school and came back from industry for graduate school. I'll bet that Aaron Craft doesn't hate school either.

Not so fast on Duron Carter to Minnesota
Posted by Mike Florio on April 28, 2013

Former Vikings receiver Cris Carter says his son, Duron, will sign with the Vikings. The Vikings say that Duron merely has been given an opportunity to try out for a roster spot.

Via both Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com and Mike Garafolo of USA Today, the Vikings have yet to offer Duron Carter a job.

While it remains a possibility, the younger Carter first will have to show up and show what he can do. Per Garafolo, the Ravens also have extended Carter an invitation to try out.

At a time when each team can carry 90 guys, having to try out to get an offseason roster spot doesn?t bode well for the player?s long-term career. But at least he?ll get a chance to get a chance to make a team.

Hopefully he takes this opportunity seriously. He's been given more chances than most just because of his father. If he doesn't get his act together this time he probably never will. Waisting ones potential is always a sad situation.

Same line that was said in 09 when he came to OSU. And again in 2010 at Coffeyville CC. And again in 2011 at Alabama. And again in 2012 at FAU.

History does not bode well for the kid. Some children with solid football lineage fill out (Luck, Heyward, Matthews), some dont (Carter, Montana, Simms).

As I wish him luck, if it comes down to cutting him or Nate Williams - hopefully they give Carter the boot.
