USC every day of the week. Texas is not overrated. USC is. USC is an incredible team, but I'd like to see how they'd hold up during a Big 10 or SEC schedule. They don't face a single tough D all year.

I'd like revenge for getting beat at the horseshoe.
Realistically, USC stands a tougher slate than Texas for the remainder of the year. Like OSU vs the rest of the teams on their schedule, but not to the extent that Texas is vs their opponents- they're just more physical and deep than their opponents could even hope to be.
I don't know how true it is because I never saw Young's backup play, but I think having him go down to injury would be the arrow through the achilles for the Horns- not that anybody on the rest of their schedule could beat them anyway.

I don't care who we would play in the Rose Bowl. Doesn't matter to me if it's USC, Texas, Va. Tech, or a surprise NC participant like Cal or Bama.
Any time we have a shot at the NC, we should be thrilled with it. The opportunities are rare.

Texas. I think we would take them this time. Also, it would really give a guage as to how Tressel's team improves over the season by playing the same tough team twice.

i would love to see USC's so called best offense ever go against our defense. i think once they got shut down than all the talk about their great offense would be stopped

I would venture to say that if Texas lost Young to injury, they would still be just fine. Not taking anything away from Vince's not-human athletic ability, but Texas is too deep and talented to fall completely flat on their faces after losing their starting QB. Matt Nordegren (sp?), their backup QB is a pretty darn good pocket passer anyway.
I wonder, given the hypothetical situation of:
1. Texas (11-0)
2. USC (10-1)
3. Ohio State (10-1)
and USC and OSU more or less tied for second place, would the pollsters want to see USC try for the three-peat, or a rematch between Texas and Ohio State? I'd go so far as to say the Rose Bowl committee would be killing for a Texas tOSU rematch game simply because of the sheer revenue being raked in from both schools and their fanbases. The two largest schools in the nation with the two largest fanbases play each other for the national championship. The viewership of the game would set records, easily. Wasn't last years Alamo Bowl the 3rd or 4th most watched bowl game for the year?
Having said that, I'd rather play USC in the Rose Bowl, if God somehow grants us the chance to do so. If both Texas and tOSU were somehow completely out of the NC hunt, you'd better believe the bowl representatives would be scrambling to figure out a way for the two schools to play each other in a rematch.

Texas is talented, but VY is the key to their wins. He is the heart of that team. Everyone on that team thrives off of his emotions.

VY is the key to their offensive dominance outside of when they played tOSU(he won the game for them, but was hardly dominant, except maybe in the passing game) but, lets not forget about their defense that held us to field goals instead of touchdowns. the defense was the deciding factor in their biggest win this year against tOSU

i would love for us to play usc in the rose bowl. although a rematch with texas would be nice, im not so sure i want them three times in less than two years, kinda takes the oomph out of playing them early next year. but to have a "traditional" rose bowl decide the national title would be fitting.

USC, on the other hand, does provide us the chance to play for all the marbles in the "traditional" Rose bowl. Plus, USC is being touted as one of the all-time great teams in the history of CFB, just as "South Beach scUM" was in 2002. To put the damper on that teams "legacy" would be sweet.
