If we get sanctioned, would a big guy like Meyer still want it?
Realistically, it's still one of the top jobs in all of football. And sanctions end and everything else is still in place.
I still think Fickel gets it. But if you get a new AD then anything is possible.

YES PLEASE. Jon Gruden is one of my, if not THE, favorite coach I've ever watched, that I haven't been a fan of the team he's coaching. He'd be an absolutely perfect fit. Once he's added to the list, I'm all in.

Right now Luke Fickell is our Head Coach and needs our full support. He is due the right to proof himself on the field before we begin talking about a "new" HC. I believe that Luke will be given every chance to win the permanent position as HC and I am hopeful that he will do that very thing, even in the midst of much difficulty. If he can successfully navigate us through this year, he deserves it IMHO.

^-- these two posts above mine. There's a reasonw hy they won't even look for a replacement until December, and that's to give Fickell full support without him having to let behind him all the time. Fickell is getting a full-season audition, and it's his job now.

LBJ stated, he somehow has reason to believe the NCAA will find Fickell "clean". The team knows, if they want Fickell as their coach they better line up behind him and win games. If they team wins, and if in interviews, recruits are expressing interest in playing for Fickell, I'll bet my entire $1,000.00 I know who gets the permanent job in December. :biggrin:

It's strange how Luke Fickell isn't even listed on Bodog's odds:

Urban Meyer - 3/2
Mark Stoops - 5/2
Jon Gruden - 3/1
Bo Pelini - 10/1
Mark Dantonio - 12/1

And exactly who would be real money on this right now (before the August meeting)?

People who want to lose money, hence Fickell's absence from the list (even if he's not a leading candidate at this point)
