I wasn't referring to Meyer's reputation. I was referring to how a program such as OSU gains credibility by hiring Meyer. I'm having a hard time understanding what the poster meant by "we gain credibility."

I don't disagree with you at all....just saying that stranger things have happened. I remember when we basically backed into the title game against LSU....6-8 games into the season who would have thought?

Well, 8 games into that season, OSU was undefeated and ranked #1, so probably quite a few.

I didn't watch it, but according to posters at BN, Meyer's reactions when the OSU job was being discussed on Gameday this morning were very telling...

I think we qualify for a bowl game, but not much better.

At this point, I just want a real HC. Love Luke as a DC, and its obvious watching him on the sideline that it's his comfort zone, but he's just not ready to be HC.
