We won't know for some time who the next head coach will be at OSU, however, regarding Urban Meyer, I don't see how there could truly be any real argument against his credibility as a football coach and what he could potentially bring to the table in Columbus. His past success speaks for itself.
I was a BGSU student when Urban entered the program there, and I can say with 100% confidence that he is as good a college football coach as you will find. He understands the elements of putting talent in the right position on the field and he has an aggressive nature that hasn't been seen at OSU in some time (nothing against JT). He understands Big 10 football and what it takes to win in this conference. I hear a lot of people claim that he has a "gimmicky" offense, however, if you really watch what he has done in the past (primarily at Utah and Florida), his offenses are still predicated on power football (Tim Tebow). The difference is, he likes to counter that with getting athletes in space, hence the " gimmick" look. Regardless ofbwhat you wantbto call it, it works far more than it fails. And I suspect that if Meyer does end up at OSU, that we will see a slightly different version of his past offenses in the west and south.
Regardless, I guess I don't know how you could dis-credit him? How has he deserved that?
