They booed Saturday at Ohio State because the Buckeyes lost to Michigan State. They booed the remaining innocent, eligible student-athletes who (we think) haven't taken extra benefits. They booed bad football. They booed bad football forgetting that better players were either suspended or had escaped to the NFL.

That's no way to impress Urban Meyer.

Yeah I don't get it.

Meyer quit at Florida due to health concerns. With all due respect to Gainesville, Columbus is a larger pressure cooker. By far. Especially with what has transpired in the past 7-10 months.

Will he be a candidate? Probably.

Is he THE candidate? I doubt it. There will be quite a few other coaches with talent looking at this position long and hard.

Did he quit because of health reasons.....or did Ohio State know about all this ahead of time and gave him the heads up so he would be available?

IF we end up in search of a Head Coach after the season's over, I officially change my hopes from Gary Patterson to Urban, back to Gary Patterson. He's a pretty spectacular recruiter, in a difficult state to recruit in. I can only imagine how much of an impact he'd make in Ohio. They'd have another 10 year run like Tress had.
