Well, Bo Pelini was high on my list until last night. Losing 48-17 to Wisconsin does not sit well with me at all!!!

Here is my updated list of who I want as our HC:

1. Urban Meyer
1a. Jon Gruden
2. Kyle Whittingham (6-1 in bowls including a beatdown of Bama)
3. Rob Ryan (Great defensive mind, Ohio State LB coach in 1988)
4. Josh MaDaniels (Great offensive mind, Ohio ties, Belichick deciple, nuff said)
5. Tim Beckman (Good coach, Ohio ties)

If Coach Fick is fired at the end of the season (unfortunate but looking more likely), I agree with Meyer as the first choice but I can't get over the feeling that the Bucks are essentially "renting" a head coach for a few years due to health issues. Recruiting would go from being very good under Coach Tressel to out of this world with Meyer.

I just don't see Gruden accepting an NCAA job as he wants back in the NFL. I wouldn't put any money on this one.

The dark horse that intrigues me on that list is Beckman. Definitely a coach on the rise.

Fick will not be fired at the end of the season. He just wont be extended.

I am a Beckman fan as well.

I don't understand the interest in guys who have done well in the NFL. I want someone who has a proven record of managing a college level program.
