Who else is going to be glued to ABC tonight? (Lost)

Anyways....Was future Kate married to Sawyer, or was he the one in the casket?
My guess - no on the casket.
Kate and Sawyer together in future flash forward. Scene at the runway where Kate talks of "he" in present tense - surely referring to Sawyer.

My guess - yes on Sawyer in the casket. I imagine Sawyer and Kate don't make it, he seems to be pulling away. My theory...Kate is pregnant with a boy. Sawyer doesn't stay with her, she's bitter (hence the statement why would I go to the funeral) and the he that is waiting on her is the son. Of course that's not what the closeup shots of the newspaper clipping show.

I wasn't home last night, so I just finished watching the episode. Thought it was great...perhaps the best one ever. However, I can't decide if I love or hate the ending. I guess it depends where they pick it up next year...if the Losties join the Others in an overall fight against whoever is out on the ship (Darhma???), I really liked it. If the focus becomes Jack trying to get back to the island to take care of unfinished business, I hate it.

As for the funeral, my first thought was that it was Locke's, but perhaps it was Michael's? Would explain why no one showed up at it.

I think the funeral is of a character that we have not been introduced to. Maybe someone that knew a way to get back to the island? There are screen caps all over the place of the LA Times (which says a man was dead) that Jack had on the plane. However, the casket was sort of small. So, who knows. Jeremy Bentham is a name some lost boards are theorizing to be the name of the dead man in the casket. It kind of make sense if you Wikipedia Jeremy Bentham/Panopticon:

" 'The Panopticon is a type of prison building designed by English philosopher Jeremy Bentham in the late eighteenth century. The concept of the design is to allow an observer to observe (-opticon) all (pan-) prisoners without the prisoners being able to tell if they are being observed or not, thus conveying a "sentiment of an invisible omniscience." In his own words, Bentham described the Panopticon as "a new mode of obtaining power of mind over mind, in a quantity hitherto without example.' "

Thats what I was thinking is happening. It seems like the Others officially got owned. Everyone who would stand up to Jack and the survivors pretty much was killed. Jack has Ben tied up and can kill him whenever he wants to. Most of The Others distrust Ben at this point. imo, it all points to The Others joining up with the survivors (I mean do they have a choice at this point?) I hadn't thought of the new enemy being Darhma though. That reallly makes sense.

Wouldn't Darhma already know where the island is since they originally inhabited it??? Just grasping at straws here because I have no idea where yesterday's show plots will end up......

To add to this, on the wiki entry the first two Influences listed on the right side of the page are John Locke and David Hume. Desmond's name in the show is Desmond David Hume.

You would think, but Ben certainly seems worried that someone/group is out on that ship who will work to destroy everything he's created. I don't know who else would know of the island, but maybe not where it is (perhaps the Others figured out how to cloak the island?)except Darhma or people connected to it like Alvar Hanso. Who knows???

Very interesting. Makes me wonder if perhaps someone has been watching the island all along.

Especially after they showed that aireal shot of all them walking towards the radio tower near the end. The shot made me feel like it was supposed to be like someone/something watching all of them. It was the first time they had used a helicopter angle like that on the island.
