scUM.

That would hurt more. Much more. On top of that, it would start talk about how RR is going to be the next Bo. Enough with that already. Lets kick their collective smug asses and put an end to that. scUM worries me the most. I can handle losses in other games.

I am not really that worried about Purdue. They just don't have the athletes to stay with us.

While Michigan State worries me a little, they are fairly one dimensional so I think I am okay there. The only thing that concerns me MSU is
Dantonio but I don't even think he can defend against Pryor and Beanie.

I would really worry about PSU if the game were there. They have the athletes which worries me and they are multidimensional but the game is at home.

Out of all the remaining games, the Illinois game scares me the most. The spread offense with Juice and Benn worries me a lot.

sCum is still the game and anything can happen but does DickRod really know the true meaning of this game. I think not and after watching Juice run all over the place last Saturday I can see Pryor doing the same thing.

I think it depends...

we play PSU at home but if they lose to a desperate Wisc team then my worries subside a little. I worry about away games the most. The offense has made serious improvements regardless of the dropped passes and the flags. But the D???? I dont understand its like they take one series off and play the next? I know wisc is a good running team but how to do shut down the run every other series?:osu:

Illini...But scUM definately is really up there. We're going to be thier bowl game this year and they would like nothing else but to come down here and steal a win. They're going to be fired up for that game in Dick Rod's first year.

[BUCKYLE] We're THE Ohio State University. The Buckeyes. I refuse to use words like 'Worry", "Nervous", or "Concern" when discussing future football opponents. All of those teams are going to get beat by JT's squad, and if you can't handle some stress during the games, GROW A FREAKIN' PAIR!" [/BUCKYLE]

I voted for MSU.

Damn. BUCKYLE is a fucking dickhead.

Let's all face it......a win against OSU this year will be ALL team's 'signature' win. With the pre-season hype of OSU and the 'little ten', this has probably been bulletin board material all around the league. So, we're going to get EVERYONE's best shot. I seem to remember Northwestern beating OSU in 2003 for the first loss after the Nat Chmpship against Miami. Even Mushmouth (Brent Musberger) said he could feel the electricity in the air before the game, so 'on any given Saturday', etc. any team can beat another one.

So Tress & Co better get their team prepared to take the other team's best shot on a weekly basis (the price of being on top of the mountain).

Knowing that Chris Painter could catch fire, or Basanez, or even Threet, is a big red flag. Right now Penn St looks to have the eyes of the media, and their stats look pretty awesome, even if their athletes don't. Michigan is struggling, but everyone out of short pants knows that no matter how badly one of the two (either Michigan or OSU) is doing that year, that team plays up to the level of the other one. (Mostly Michigan has played over their heads and upset the higher ranked OSU - too many times). Dick Rod and the Wolverweenies are undoubtedly pointing to this game for many reasons (justification of hiring Dick Rod, losing Pryor to their arch enemy, just because we're on top and they're not) will play well.

Of course I fear scUM the most, but Penn St is a clooooose second. They have it together, and would wish to avenge an 'Ohfer' the Shoe. But the best team OSU's ever had (simply my opinion) was the 1997 team, and Michigan State whupped us. So it shows that anyone in the Big Ten can beat OSU......with great athletes or not.

All of 'em. Seriously.

But stepping back, I'll be happy with 10 and 2 or even 9 and 3 and then a nice bowl victory...

Next year, we'll have a good turnover in players, and I think that's healthy. I'm already looking forward to 09 being THE year, with or without Beanie, although he claims to want to come back.

This year I can see us losing any of these games left except for MAYBE Purdue. Which is why we could lose it, just for looking past it.

Even scUM worries me. What was that Gary danielson said? No true freshman has won the game. Now that is probably all the extra motivation T Pryor needs to demolish scUM, but still, the only redemption Rich Rod can have for this season ('cause there probably won't be a bowl game) will be to beat Ohio State. It is the ONLY WAY for scUM TO SALVAGE 2008 at this point.

I work in Ann Arbor. I hear it all the time.

So yeah, since the defense has not been the dominant force we hoped for this year, we could lose any of them.

Someone should start a thread.... Who Would You Most Like to see Ohio State Beat in their Bowl Game this year? I'd love to get a piece of Florida this year.

Thanks Bucky-Lee.......maybe the details are hazy, but the concepts are sound. Northwestern was the upset that I was speaking of with Mushmouth announcing. Losing to MSU hurt almost as badly as the 1969 loss to Michigan (which I'm still not really over).

Hopefully the drift was there, even if the details (like the exact name-spellings () weren't (see above).

Let's win 'em all, one at a time. It looks like the pollsters will do everything plus to keep OSU out of the NC game, so let's make 'em sweat a bit.....
