at Michigan State - This game worries me very much. An excellent RB in Ringer and a solid offensive line could spell trouble for the Bucks.

This is a trap game for us, especially with PSU up the next week and the possibility of looking ahead. Dantonio knows us and has the ability to put together a good scheme against us. Even though we shut Ringer down last year, we have not done well stopping the run this year. And, after all Ringer is an Ohio boy who wanted to come to tOSU....

i have to agree with this post. after watching wiscy's running game, ringer could have a field day with our DL if they don't shape up. the reason i put this one ahead of PSU is because we get PSU at home. illinois will be tough as well, but if we don't beat MSU it won't really matter.

1. @Illinois - an offense that gave OSU fits last year and a defense that gave OSU fits the last two
2. Penn State - I didn't get to see the Purdue game, but I have been very impressed with the offense prior to that. A good running back who hits the hole very quickly and all sorts of misdirection.
3. @ MSU
4. UM
5. Purdue
6. Northwestern

I'd agree with this, but I would switch Purdue and NW. Purdue is 2-3, and we're playing them at home, whereas NW is 5-0 and we're playing them in Evanston.

MSU... in obvious running downs I say we pull out the Penny-D. That is... one DB and 10 in the box!

Initially, I thought PSU, but now I'm leaning toward ILL. MSU's right up there, but I think Ringer will be wearing down with all the carries he's had. Iowa was able to keep him in check, for the most part. Hoyer has the potential to pull a Morelli if we can force him to throw, IMO. We'll know a lot more about PSU after they play Wisky. They look good, but I don't know that they have been tested yet. ILL will not be quite as tough without Mendenhall, although Dufresne is good. Juice is looking much better this year. I think as long as the refs don't spot them 2 TDs, we can pull it out.

Two reasons I think we beat Michigan: Beanie hates Michigan. Pryor listens to Beanie.

EDIT: I forgot reason #3: Morgan :slappy: Trent.

As funny/Stupid as this sounds I have a bad feeling about Meat Chicken too. Just something about them not producing now has me thinking it might be overlooked.
This could be like 2004 in reverse, when Ohio State looked like crap all year and then salvaged their season by playing a near-perfect game and beating a much better Michigan team. So, yes, the Michigan game does scare me.

If Lloyd was still the coach, I'd probably feel the same. With Dickrod there, I just don't have that fear. I'm still not "overlooking" them, I'm just not...worried, I guess.

Most likely to lose:
PSU - scary O that reminds me of Ilinois last year, combined with a stout D. Williams and Royster are having a great year.
Illinois - D is not as tough as last year, and we seem to be better on the road, but they still have Juice.
MSU - Even though we're weak on the run, MSU is even more 1 dimensional than Wiscy, and their D is not as good.

Scared because of potential mental anguish:
scUM - they have shown signs of life, and they have talent. Their D is not good - hopefully Pryor will be able to take advantage of the DBs by throwing effectively that game, because I think we will need to be balanced to win. Wisky tried to line up and just run, and it worked for a while, but we know how that ended.

Maybe if The Game were at the Pig House...Tressel owns Michigan in The Shoe. We also have a phenomenal mobile QB who can pass (which always gives Michigan fits), we have a healthy Beanie (knock on wood), and Michigan has DickRod who is eerily reminiscent of John Cooper in his sideline demeanor.

The game that concerns me the most is always "the next one". I hope the Buckeyes are only worried about Purdue this week and are 100% focused on that game. The team should play one game at a time and not worry about a future opponents until that week.

[BUCKYLE] We're THE Ohio State University. The Buckeyes. I refuse to use words like 'Worry", "Nervous", or "Concern" when discussing future football opponents. All of those teams are going to get beat by JT's squad, and if you can't handle some stress during the games, GROW A FREAKIN' PAIR!" [/BUCKYLE]

I voted for MSU.
