What kind of car do you drive?

Anyone have suggestions on SUVs that can fit 3 car seats? I haven't tried the wife's Q5 yet, however most things I read say its not possible.

The car needs to have a width of less than 90 inches, or it will not fit past the narrow part of my drive.

I bought a Durango last year that I absolutely love. It's not too small and not too big. I don't know what's its width is though. I have second row bucket seats. I could get two car seats in each one and a third in the back row with room to spare. I would guess that if you went with a bench in the second row you could get three car seats there.

edit: I looked it up, the width of the Durango is 76 inches. I asked my wife and she thinks three car seats would fit in the bench second row easily.

I really like my 2010 Explorer. You ought to check out the Edge they have some good room in the back seat.

Yep. The ease of ingress and egress was a big thing for my parents. Cars were getting to low for their ease of egress, and most SUVs were to tall for their ease of ingress. Also, the remote doors and tailgate were a big plus for them.
The comfort level of driving some of the minivans is just amazing, especially on long trips. You certainly can't beat the storage and capacity to haul things around. I hate to say I miss our Caravan we had when traveling.

I would buy my wife the Sienna or whatever, however she is pretty opposed to a minivan.
Who the fuck said anything about a minivan?

A short list of the happiest days of my adult life include:

1)buying the last case of diapers and,
2) selling the fucking minivan.

Three across in the middle is gonna be tough at 90 inches. Do you have one that is getting old enough for a booster in the third row?
