I'll bet that you didn't know that.....007 got his name from the author of a bird book.

Fleming borrowed the name for his secret agent from a most unlikely source. He explains: ?I was looking for a name for my hero ? nothing like Peregrine Carruthers or ?Standfast? Maltravers ? and I found it, on the cover of one of my Jamaican bibles ?Birds of the West Indies? by James Bond, anornithological classic?would these books have been born if I had not been living in the gorgeous vacuum of a Jamaican holiday? I doubt it.?

How about the best James Bond actor? Gotta be Sean Connery. Roger Moore was good, but nobody else even comes close to Connery.

i really liked Timothy Dalton and would put him #2 behind Connery. Unfortunately nobody else did and he only was James Bond in 2 movies.

Where the @#&% did this guy find that picture? Anybody have any idea what movie that was, (if it actually was a movie)?

Zardoz. That was the film John Boorman directed immediately after Deliverance.

Connery is a brilliant actor, who unfortunately allowed himself to be duped into a fuckton of terrible scripts attached to other successful actors and directors without reading them throughout his career.

Dumbass turned down the role of Gandalf in Lord of the Rings. Goodness, he must be miserable over that decision.

Casino Royale with Craig... just for the parkour chase at the beginning.

Complete with Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" and opening credits right after.

I have really enjoyed the Daniel Craig 007 movies. REALLY enjoyed Skyfall. Wasn't too wild about Quantum Of Solace but it wasn't too bad, either.

Casino Royale or The World Is Not Enough would probably be my two favorite 007 movies.

Watching Thunderball again for probably the fourth time since the lockdown. This is actually becoming my favorite Connery Bond. The plot is great. "He got the point" is one of the all time great Bond quips. Bond's black, long sleeve polo and Q's pineapple shirt are bloody well done. The underwater spear fight between the two armies of scuba divers is incredible. And oh yeah, the theme song is sung by a hairy Welshman named Tom Motherfucking Jones.

Good points all. But! Shirley Bassey has a box full of undies that Tom Jones tossed onto her stage.

I've watched every Bond movie in the last two weeks, except for Spectre and Skyfall.

I even watched the first Casino Royale from 1967, a farce with David Niven, Peter Sellers, Woody Allen, and a large number of cameo roles.

The Daniel Craig movies are the only ones that compare to the first 5 that Connery made. Edit - The Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye were both decent, though.

Gotta go with Ursula Andress and Halle Barry as my favorite Bond Girls, primarily on hotness. But Diana Rigg in the Lazenby flick and Eva Green in Craig's Casino Royale added the most as characters in the films.
