You like Wheel of Time better than A Song of Fire and Ice?

No.

However, I've picked up "Sword of Truth" series... so far so good. Still on book 1.

:(

They get really bad....really fast.

Jordan may have needed an editor with a firm hand IMO, but he was a talented writer. Goodkind...not so much.

I am reading the Frontiersman by Allan Eckert. Great book about the history of the Ohio territory. Eckert brings Simon Kenton and native Americans such as Tecumseh alive in his narratives. I have read this book numerous times. It never ceases to amaze me.

Simon Kenton was one BAD A**

Excellent book & author!

I'm not currently reading them, but I just finished the last book in Ted Bell's series.

If you haven't read Ted Bell's books and like the adventure/political fiction books, they are a must read.

Hawke is the first one and it's ideal to start with that one. As with all series though, you can start in any of the books.

They are talking about making Hawke a movie which would be sweet.

I normally can't stand to read, but this was the type of book I couldn't put down.

How is it?
If you like Stephen King, and I do, then it's pretty good. I'm not technically reading it though. An hour drive to and from work has allowed me to "read" a ton of audio books. He has a lot of broken thought sentences in this book, and I'm not sure that I could take it if I had to read it. Mare Winningham does a good job of reading it to me though.
