In A Dark Wood Wandering by Hella S. Haasse

Just looked that up on Amazon, it sounds pretty fascinating--is it as good as some of the reviews suggest?

Just read The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I thought it was good, not great (you were full of shit Oprah!).

Now on to The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick. This has the most creative start to a book that I can remember.

I'll check it out

If you are a history buff and fascinated by the period, it is great.

Very nice, it's on the way from Alibris now! The Aubrey/Maturin series is great fiction for history buffs too, especially those with an interest in sailing--the level of detail and realism is really astounding. It's a second go-round on the early part of the series for me...
