What book are you currently reading, or recommend?

I just finished Kite Runner.

That was a good read.

Must admit I never even imagined the emotional healing power of a urinal puck until I read The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint by Brady Udall.

Just put in a reserve on this based on your recommendation. I am wading through Service's bio on Stalin at the moment and I am ready for a book where the names have vowels.

The Inner Game of Tennis by W. Timothy Gallwey and Portnoy's Complaint by Philip Roth. Though after my rather sorry performance on the LOTR quiz, I suspect either The Hobbit or The Fellowship of the Ring will be leaving town with me tonight for the weekend.

Confessions of an Economic Hitman by John Perkins, a must read.

Honorable Intentions by Judith Kolkin , Vietnam War fiction by some one I know.

The Soul of Rumi, by Coleman Barks, beautiful translation of Rumi's poetry.
I have a signed copy!

Gallwey's book inspired this one - it's pretty good.

I'm nearly through "23 Years: A Study of the Prophetic Career of Mohammad" by Ali Dashti, after it I will be diving into a book about the First Crusade (oh those were the days), and then I will switch gears and read Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain.
