What book are you currently reading, or recommend?

Just finished Deception Point by Dan Brown, Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas, by Tom Robbins and Prey by Michael Crichton.

Now I'm trying to decide between Digital Fortress by Dan Brown and Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.

Gallwey's book inspired this one - it's pretty good.

I'll have to check that out. Thanks, Deety. I just looked it up and noticed that Gallway also co-wrote a book with Barry Green called The Inner Game of Music.

By the way, BK - I love Tom Robbins. Just picked up Wild Ducks Flying Backward.

Just finished Dan Brown's Digital Fortress. Pretty poor writing. The guy has interesting concepts but is just not that great of a writer.

I have found his writing to be pretty good. For me, it isn't so bad it detracts from the plot. However, I find his plots to be overly dramatic. Too many coincidences where I find myself saying, "Well, that worked out nicely."

Most people I have talked to liked whichever book they read first. I read Da Vinci Code first and thought it was a bit better and more realistic. They were both entertaining though.

I read DaVince first, Demons and Angels and now Digital Fortress. I liked Demons best. In Digital Fortress he just tries too hard and overly dramatic is an accurate description. Too many background characters as if he was trying to make it extremely complex. It would have made it confusing except you could tell the characters meant nothing to the plot. Sometimes the simpler the better.
