Took a break from Borderlands. Love the graphics, guns and style of play. It was a little tedious at first, but picked up a lot in the next towns with vehicles and more diverse enemies. Might revisit it down the road, made it to level 23.
Exchanged it for Halo ODST. If you don't have to justify $60 down the drain (the beauty of renting for a few days), it's a great addition to the Halo lineup. The original Halo has never been topped, and the double wielding & crazy technology has the sizzle but didn't have the meat of the original. Case in point, the greatness of the pistol was lost in the sequels, and it's back in this version.
The lighting & nightvision/HUD visual effects really add to the gameplay, as well as the richer terrain (high grass, dimly lit hallways even with night vision, etc).
It does get a bit tedious running around the empty city at times, though I'm guessing that changes when you bump up the difficulty (I'm at normal. haven't been in the high levels since the original).
