I got Borderlands and Left 4 Dead 2 for Christmas.

Borderlands is awesome. You can have up to 4 play co-op via Live. If anyone else has it we should play some time. The same goes for Left 4 Dead 2. It's a lot of fun.

What did you get Borderlands for? My little brother got it on the PC.

I rented Forza 3 yesterday. I like it way better than Forza 2. Now I just need to decide if I want the LTD or regular versions? Anyone have a preference?

Just beat Batman Arkham Asylum on PS3, after playing many hours a day since getting it for Christmas.

It was a great game, but now idk what to do with it, since there is no multiplayer or online mode involved.

Was it worth a buy though or could it be beaten on a rental?

I'm only two levels in, but the propeller hat is a lot of fun. You shake it to fly up, and then use it to slow your descent. You can spin out fireballs, and other fun interactions.

This is an 8.5/9 for those who grew up with mario, and probably a 7.5 for 14 year olds with no history with the sidescroller.

Come on over, I've got one for 5 more days before delivering it to a relative (who couldn't buy one in time). You can rescue the dying permian program while here :p.

I think every kid should have to go back and play those old side scrolling games, those were what real games were made of. I've never beaten Super Mario World(SNES) and I still think it's one of the best games I have ever played. I would have been all for that offer to come out to your house and play the Wii version, but I'm about 8 hours away from Ohio. :p

Have you ever tried playing some of the old school games on the Wii that you can buy in the marketplace? I have been tempted several times to go out and buy a Wii to play games from the SNES like Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball etc...

I'd jump back in and try and bring Permian back up, but I don't have the game anymore.:(

The beauty of my offer

Nope. I owned a Wii for a few months until I exhausted the very limited lineup of games.

This time around I just picked one up for a family member to give as a gift and tried out Mario before delivering

Mean Machine is running unchecked down in the b12.

I was at my brothers and he has a PS3 and Uncharted 2. UC2 is by far the best game I have played this year, on any system. I love the mix of action/adventure/puzzle. If you have a PS3 and haven't played or do not own it, I would highly recommend it.

Tried out the wii fit board I picked up as part of the gift delivery. Fun technology, and entertaining for a day or three, but it would lose my interest fast.

I would love to see the wii innovations hooked up with a competent set of games and graphics.

The wii amounts to an ingenious prototype, not a complete, comparable product for anyone with solid gaming experience.

P.s. Microcenter has $20 remotes and $10 nunchuks, both refurbished, or $5 3rd party nunchuks... For anyone interested.

I personally love the Wii Fit Plus. I got it for my birthday in November and have continued to use it. I've lost 10 lbs. since I got it. For me, it does for my weight loss efforts what Mint.com does for my finances. I only use it for the workouts on the disc about 25% of the time, but I an also log my time on my stationary bike or at the gym.

Also, I agree about Super Mario Bros. Wii. This game reminds me of Super Mario Bros. 3, both in style and quality. Other than some of the stuff it has you shake the remote for it doesn't do too much to take advantage of the Wii's controls, but it's a quality game regardless.

Would Wii be a bigger deal with better graphics and more immersive games? Maybe so. But for me - someone who has taken a stem back from gaming from the days where I owned one of the first Xboxes and majored in Halo as an undergraduate, the Wii is refreshing. I can pick it up and play for 45 minutes when I'm bored, and I can put it back down. I don't have to make as big a deal of it to have fun. Plus, I don't need a big selection of games to make the Wii worthwhile. It's worth it for Wii Fit, Tiger Woods, MarioKart, Super Mario Bros, Wii Ware & Virtual Console.
