Not necessarily, but they will be favored to repeat--and will have a very good chance to--if Young returns. Any nimrod can see that he, and he alone, is the catalyst for their offense...they go as far as he takes them.

These lose more than you guys think they are. That O-line is gone. Jonathan Scott and G Will Allen are the lost seniors on the offensive line, but Justin Blalock will have a big choice to make as a likely first round pick. Dont be so quick to jump on bandwagons. There were alot of mistakes made out there by both teams. If tOSU that beat ND played last night, neither one of those teams would stand a chance. Come to think of it the way WVU played in the first half (ok the first quarter:wink2: ) they would have giving those teams a run for it. VY had better leave for his sake, cause if he returns his stock drops come the end of September. Scouts will recognize that his performances against actually defenses aren't so superhuman

I think that Matt Leinart owes Vince Young a debt of gratitude as there is now at least a decent possibility that the ‘Aints draft VY over him. There is always the chance that they shy away from a scrambling qb because of Aaron Brooks but who knows.

Read an article last night right after the game that VY has been considering staying because he does not expect to be a Top 5 pick due to the teams selecting and not having a need for a QB, except maybe the Jets but they have lots of money in Pennington. He also wasn't sure if he would be rated higher than Leinart. Finally, it said he might not even be drafted before Quinn in 07. Oh yeah, the article was written before the Rose Bowl. Not sure what it would say now.

V.Y.'s stock will never be as high as it is now.

What does he have left to prove? A running QB who makes it through an entire year unscathed while winning the Rose Bowl in a Herculean performance should not come back and risk injury.

Just a shame for Bush to see how after this one game, people are calling for Young to be the #1 pick.

I guess we should totally disregard the player that many have been calling the best RB of all-time b/c his 275 total yards were trumped a freaky 467 yard performance. :roll1:

Good article on ESPN.com about Vince coming back. Sounds like Vince and his peeps think the NFL favor Leinart over him. They're looking at the investment that teams with top 5 picks have made recently in QBs and only the Saints are believed to be drafting a QB. They have a good point. After the first QB is picked, how far is it going to be before the next one is chosen.

Nevada just posted that Young is 100% gone, the agent has already been selected. I was aware that VY's family attny was interviewing potential agents already.

Sounds like this is a forgone conclusion.
